    if ever a team needed a win to right the ship, its Lazio this weekend....and Perugia is the perfect opponent.

    Lots of injuries hurting us, the worst is Fiore remains out so super-slow Conceiceo has to start on the right of midfield...
    GK Kalac remains out for Perugia which helps...

    An interesting win;

    by all acounts a very bad tempered one. But, once again, 3 points is 3 points. Conceicao actually looked decent; perhaps he's finally getting into shape, or perhaps he needs two weeks off to be effective.
    3-1 to Lazio, with our last two goals coming very late, after 3 players had been sent off. The last goal, a lovely Inzaghi chip was practically the last touch of the game.
    Dejan scored a goal too, hopefully we'll start to see the player he was last year. Hopefully. But again, 3 points is 3 points.

    yeah, a win is a win in this case...

    good to see both Stankovic and Corradi getting on track...we'll need that for Wednesday.

    Crazy turn of events in this one, perugia claiming its a conspiracy against them with the many player sendoffs...

    A conspiracy?

    In SerieA? :rolleyes:

    At least Juventus wasn't involved.

    Now its time to host Besiktas..... as I've said, I'm very ambivalent about the CL since it potentially causes injuries which we can't afford at all. The trick is just to get into the group stage, collect the cash, and ignore it if you don't have a squad that can really challenge for the title. I.e., what Arsenal have been doing unintentionally for years.

    That being said, I hope we win, since it would also give Chelsea the top spot in the group, which I would prefer. Plus it would be great for morale, which is not exactly at an all time high.

    Also - is there any news on Stam? I know he was taken off at half time of the Perugia game, but I can hardly imagine bringing on Negro was a tactical switch. Is he going to be fit?
