It isn't a form of supremacy he is simply relating the power America has while you try to belittle Roma's majority stockholders for their nationality. It is off topic, but America is like an empire in the vast land, people, and territories it owns. Also, the monetary and business influence.

Also, you clearly related scummy club to the word choice of "Yanks". What would be the point of bringing up the club's majority shareholders nationality of you were just simply stating it? It is clear you are inferring that Roma is scummy because of "Yank owners".

You're just jealous that your favorite team can't pay the rent on their stadium, has a captain locked up in jail, a neo-nazi as a club icon, and will be most likely thrown out of Europe for this next season and possibly relegated to Serie B or further. I'd be upset too.

If you think you're going to troll on our blog and berate our favorite club, you're mistaken. You're trying to spread your ignorance in a page full of international Romanisti who of the majority of us, are very fine debaters who will use logic and facts to undermine your jealousy, ignorance, and the sadness that your favorite club brings upon your poor Laziale life.

What exactly is negative about being owned by Americans? Why would that be the equivalent of Lazio bring the game into disrepute by fixing matches? Is American ownership a blight on the league to the same extent as a club fixing matches, which that comment would seem to suggest?

What proof do you have that the Italian jury doesn't that you conclude 'Lazio' fixes matches. Or are you psychic?

Whats negative about being foreign owned? I love Serie A because it is Italian. EPL is hardly English, only the venues are, staff presidents players are just a touch English from what it should be. ASR wants to go global advertising and whore the name brand around etc etc. That is a step in the wrong direction.

I see your point of view, though if I was looking to troll it would have been during the season. This thread rubbed me the wrong way sorta speak. Anyways, I put in my share into this thread.

When your captain is arrested, question, named by people independently while being questioned, there might be something to it. There's no link directly to the club, but Mauri represents your club and the matches he fixed directly effected results for your club, like it or not you cheated if he is prosecuted. From the outside looking it the actions of members of your club are far more a disgrace then having American ownership, which there's nothing wrong with for the non-xenophobic among us. Domestically the actions of members of your club are damaging further the reputation of Italian football.

Shock, a post from a Lazio fan that reeks of blind nationalism. My love of Serie A has nothing to do with it being Italian owned. I love Roma, I love the style of play and it's players. I've attended matches since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Anyone that comes to the club regardless of nationality and is committed to my club and intends to add quality and grow the club are alright by me.

That statement seems to suggest, Italian football fans should be content with playing in dilapidated stadiums, posting massive losses, not spreading our brand, dwindling attendance figures, and decrease TV viewership as long as the ownership that's driving us into a hole are Italian. I don't care who's the owner, as long as the invest in the future infrastructure of the club in set out to increase our revenues to make us self-sustainable. Which for the past 20 years or so domestic ownership has failed to accomplish to the point where we risk being left behind permanently other top leagues.

This whoring you speak of is what football is becoming. No football club in the future will be able to sustain itself solely off the back of its own local market. Every industry in the world is globalizing and you seem to think that is going backward? I really hope your owners and all the fans think the same way. You might never come back from Serie B.

Typical small minded views of your average knuckle head Lazio fan here. "Whoring" the club ffs.

Totti has been a role model of the pitch no matter how much you spin it and while he has been stupid at times I never seen him do this

De Canio is a holy saint, Mauri did nothing wrong, its all a big conspiracy and the deluded Lazio fans think they rule Rome. Run back to the hills with the pigs

So he's using a symbol used by one of history's greatest villains, a person who tried to wipe out an entire race, and we are supposed to believe that he's only promoting the "good" aspects of fascism.
