First half started out a snoozer, even though La Pandilla started out possessing more (Chivas wanting to be defensive). Second half it took the goal (i.e. it took the presence of Chupete) to get all cylinders going full out.

    @ Toluca today.

The more La Pandilla missed and/or hit shots off the post, it was inevitable that Toluca would make 'us' pay. I know, Suazo is a striker and they will always take shots, but I thought he was a bit too greedy on some of the chances. I was quite shocked at the ease that Toluca's midfield and/or defense were giving Monterrey the amount of chances.

That second half seemed a mix of the first have success at Toluca's end, however the passing efficiency seemed iffy in spots. That goal by Nery was Heaven-sent. Toluca's portero was the difference.

I'm digging how the team is having various goal scorers right now. Nothing confuses a defense more than having to deal with marking multiple threats.

Gotta be one the matches of the Clausura, due to the reality show factor surrounding Reyna. Talk about a nice win to have before the clasico.

Before match though I told a buddy that this match felt like a trap game.

Monterrey has so many talent up there, it's hard for many of their youngters to get PT... there's Chelito, Suazo, De Nigris, Reyna... then there's Carreño (I rate him, if he could get regular PT he could become a great striker) and Arce... then you have Madrigal and Cazaubón... really... what a squad.

Rayados' attack is POTENT. This Clasico is going to be epic. These two teams are the very best that Mexico has to offer at the moment and both are on fire.

    Rayados HYFR!!!!!

I don't know if tigres just had an off night or Rayados are just that good but we dominated from start to finish, tigres never even had a chance. Chelito was a BEAST in the midfield.

Now let's go and whip santos for the concachampions!!!

For sure. And the best strike tandem also. Hard to argue that. I like the team mentality overall though. Besides those two, Chilito is a complete bulldog on the dribble. Cardozo and "El Queen" make solid runs to goal. Just everything a fan should want in their team.
