Here's some links that i found recently! http://www.dbscalcio.it/index.php http://football-ratings.blogspot.co.at/2011/11/memory-lane-serie-1986-87.html
Thanks amazing find if seen them posted by you on xtratime already! Do you know from which magazine the dbscalcio ratings are from? The EPL games .... I though no British magzine does them?!? Gazetta d. Sport?
The first one seems the Guerin Sportivo ratings I'll check later with the thread Serie-A rankings. If you want to see full ratings, you must to suscribe
I looked at the top five of the all-time La Liga table and noted how many players of those historic top five teams were included in the Top 50 of the Don Balon rankings (as posted in this thread), for each individual season. I think it gains insight at how the teams were rated in general over this time period. My original intention was also to indicate the points achieved and goals scored but Primera Division expanded to 20 teams at the start of the 1987-88 season. Hence, for example, Real Madrid climbed from 83 goals in 85/86, 84 goals in 86/87 to 95 goals in the first expansion season. Barcelona climbed from around 60 goals (in 1982-1988 timespan) to about 90 goals as well (although this coincided with the start of the 'Dream Team' era). For this reason, I dropped this idea. Here it goes (number of players included in top 50 Don Balon ranking 1975-1993): Real Madrid 1976 - 5 1977 - 2 1978 - 6 1979 - 9 1980 - 6 1981 - 5 1982 - 4 1983 - 4 1984 - 2 1985 - 3 1986 - 8 1987 - 6 1988 - 4 1989 - 5 1990 - 7 1991 - 3 1992 - 6 1993 - 7 Barcelona 1976 - 6 1977 - 5 1978 - 8 1979 - 0 1980 - 1 1981 - 2 1982 - 3 1983 - 1 1984 - 1 1985 - 5 1986 - 5 1987 - 6 1988 - 1 1989 - 6 1990 - 6 1991 - 8 1992 - 7 1993 - 8 Valencia 1976 - 0 1977 - 1 1978 - 3 1979 - 2 1980 - 6 1981 - 3 1982 - 5 1983 - 0 1984 - 2 1985 - 3 1986 - 0 1987 - 0 1988 - 6 1989 - 6 1990 - 7 1991 - 2 1992 - 5 1993 - 4 Athletic Bilbao 1976 - 2 1977 - 5 1978 - 7 1979 - 8 1980 - 4 1981 - 4 1982 - 5 1983 - 6 1984 - 5 1985 - 3 1986 - 5 1987 - 2 1988 - 5 1989 - 1 1990 - 2 1991 - 0 1992 - 0 1993 - 3 Atletico Madrid 1976 - 3 1977 - 9 1978 - 3 1979 - 4 1980 - 3 1981 - 5 1982 - 1 1983 - 3 1984 - 0 1985 - 3 1986 - 5 1987 - 2 1988 - 1 1989 - 3 1990 - 1 1991 - 3 1992 - 5 1993 - 1 Will try to do this for more teams in the all-time table

Now I'll make an overview of the foreign players who made the 1975-93 rankings. Minimum criteria is two appearances in the list; I used my own spreadsheet for this. Hope it is informative. What I will list is the rankings of a player, how many players of his team made the top 50 (including himself) and the average rank. It will be listed too in which years he did not make the top 50 including the games played (because that heavily influenced this) and how many players of his team made the top 50. I decided as well to give someone the same rank as others with the same average rating. This means that if someone is listed on the 31th place but has the same average rating as number 22, he will get 22 as ranking. I will start with the players who made two appearances in the list, between parentheses is the # of team-mates listed. Should be possible to do it for all players but that will take a loooong time. Maybe I'll do it only for players who made the top 10-20 once in their career.
I decided to do it for every Spanish player with more as 15 caps (which includes everyone who won Don Balon award for Spanish players too).

Great info, mate. Thanks I had a question. Most people see La Liga's level at 70s very low, also euro leagues coefficient show that. But apart for a low quality in spanish players, i think that the level of foreign players (at least on paper) is very high. Arguably the best signing for all euro leagues. What do you think, guys?
We're talking about Neeskens, Breitner and Netzer, recently. But also, played there Luis Pereira, Rep, Mazurkiewicz, Simonsen, Bonhof, Bertoni, Krankl, etc.
