not to mention that it deflected off his thigh onto his arm... similar case vs. Ramos, on a ball heading GOAL-WARDS, and no call. hmmm. this stinks to high heaven.

    Good game.

    - a win.
    - Messi hat trick with a major record broken.
    - most of our guys played well enough.
    - no injuries.
    - lessons to be learned in defence maybe.

    Beware Milan.

Mallorca is a good place for Montoya to show he's ready.

Probably faster to look-up the # of goals Torres has this season. The answer is roughly the same IIRC.

Something really needs to be done about giving yellow cards for unintentional hand balls. He gave another one to the Granada player that was also stupid.

probably puyol-pique-masch-muniesa and as i remember keita actually played as a LB before so he might play there if pep wants a more defensive LB , and busquets as the DM .

Losing Alves and Adriano for the next game at Mallorca might cost us. I think we'll see a back line of:

    Muniesa Masch Pique Puyol

    or

    Puyol Masch Pique Montoya

Since we tend to list from Right back to CBs to Left back I think your post makes sense as:

    Puyol - Masch - Pique - Muniesa

    or

    Montoya - Masch - Pique - Puyol

I wouldn't mind both Muniesa and Montoya play simultaneously. If we are to trust them the next season, this is good time to bring them in. And it's not like we have much to lose. Rest Puyol IMO for the Milan match, and yell a little before the match to Pique to play well and control the defensive unit.

Do we? I wrote them out as if the team were attacking the top of the screen (left to right). Anyways...

I don't think Pep wants to risk blowing this little lifeline in La Liga that Malaga gave us on Sunday by playing both M's. I think we'll definitely see Masch and Pique at CBs, Busi at DM.

Totally agreed. Was just trying to say something like "I trust the kids" in the post-win euphoria.

Couldn't wait to watch the match after work so I snuck in a peek here... WOW

I know I sound like a broken record (;)) but this Messi kid, he could turn out to be something special!

a high tech crap-o-meter for Madrid

Meanwhile Barca is not just winning games but is also aiding rebel forces (this machine fights fascists?): http://sports.yahoo.com/soccer/news...arcelona_syria_coded_messages_al-dunya_031912

I've yet to see it tweeted but since Iniesta made an appearance as a sub I'm guessing that he also has set a new record by going 51 consecutive La Liga matches without defeat. He was level with Butragueno.

As BocaFan said the replay posted here does more clearly show Alves fouled for the first PK. Guess we were lucky to have the two PKs called against us in a game like this where we were at home, always looked ready to score more and ultimately did score 5. First time in Pep era that two PKs were called against Barca in one game. -- Of course some say we got away with 4-6 stonewall penalties in the Chelsea match.

Biggest takeaways - Alves suspended and Adriano out ANOTHER 10 days, yikes. (plus no Abidal, no Fontas, sold Maxwell, etc.)

MESSI 34 goals, 2 ahead of Crissy, tied the real Ronaldo for most Liga goals for a Barca player, broke his own all comp. season record IIRC.

Sadly for Valdes he is now only 2 ahead of Iker in the Zamora but has played an extra game. Hopefully our Clasico will pad his lead...

Cuenca can play! Tello too. Thiago does all the little things so well even if his preseason goal scoring has stopped.
