Is it "everywhere" you can't miss it? Or is it only in the spanish media outlets? Or is it only in the soccer reports? If MLS is ever going to take the imagination of the country - we need the US soccer press to GROW and be WAY INTENSE! Like Super Bowl meets the Olympics.
The Honda Super Classico is retarded.. the Chivas USA-Galaxy match ups have yet to reach Clasico status and these MLS clowns are allready calling it a Super Clasico. They must think the majority of fans are that f'ing stupid. No need to promote these type of games. it will take a few years for this match up to be very intense.
Yes, it's overkill to label this game a "SuperClassico" but I am impressed that Honda presumably paid the league money to have its name attached to this series. As for press: I have not seen or heard much hype about this game. We may see it ramp up as the game gets closer.
The fact that Honda is sponsoring the thing is progress enough, no matter what happens on the field or with the coverage.
