That's the very same starting eleven I've seen on several sites and that I, like most people, have in mind as well. Ok, in a perfect world I would have a 100% fit Götze (or, alternatively, Reus) starting in Podolski's place, but - realistically - this is the most reasonable formation at this point.
I'm somewhat surprised Podolski got more votes than Schürrle. As for Hummels vs Merte, I trust the voting wasn't even close. On both counts, I'm however relieved that spielverlagerung.de cautions against being overly concerned about Löw's likely preferences. I trust those guys' expertise.
Kicker had a similar vote a couple of weeks ago and Hummels got more votes than any other player, including guys like Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Klose, etc. Those guys are going to be pretty disappointed.
From what we've seen of Schürrle, he seems to be the perfect joker. I really like his role at the moment, because he can come in and make a big impact as a sub. Personally I don't see Podolski as the "super sub" type guy. Every great team needs an impact sub like that. Personally I'd rather have Reus start on the left, and bring in Schürrle late in the match.
Jerome Boateng prepares for Euros by spending the night with Playboy model in cheap hotel (Gina Lisa Lohfink) This is funny. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/socce...s-spending-night-playboy-model-191103019.html And we wonder why he loses concentration? He's too busy making other tackles.
Clearly this is how one prepares for Ronaldo. *If* he owns Ronaldo this week, that chick is going to have guys lining up at her door. Hell, Loew just might fly her in to Poland for the Tourney. *If* CR owns him, then that's the last nookie the NT will see until 2015...or Loew leaves.
The difference might be appealing. Sunday night Boateng was allowed to talk with Gina Lisa - tonight he is having dinner with Angela Merkel...

Assistant coach Hansi Flick: "We are not really effective at set pieces, that's a weak point. I don't always agree with Jogi when it comes to set pieces. I think we should practice them more. Jogi has other priorities. We are obviously pressed for time, but set pieces can be effective as we painfully saw against Spain at the last World Cup." http://www.mz-web.de/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=ksta/page&atype=ksArtikel&aid=1338485287326
Must be why he isn't included in the first team since Jogi doesn't think we should practice set pieces.
I'd pick this for all attack formation ---------------FW ---LW---Gotze---Ozil----RW Lahm------Hummels---Kheidira---Boateng ---------------------Badtuber -------------------Neuer Low has been testing an all-out-attack formation in recent matches using both Gotze and ozil on the field while dropping either the pair of MF
Badstuber and Neuer should make room for another attacking midfielder and another forward: ------------------- Klose --- Gomez --- Podolski -- Götze -- Özil --- Müller --- Reus Lahm -------- Hummels --- Khedira ------- Boateng The tactics are simple: Germany simply needs to attack constantly and have 100% ball possession. That way, Portugal or any other opponent will never get the chance to take a shot on the goal. Easy.
Well heck...let's just use this while we are at it; -------Gotze-----FW----Ozil--- ---LW---------Kheidira---RW Lahm------Hummels------Boateng ---------Neuer--------Badtuber -------------------------------------------- ----------------(empty)-----------------
