They showed the Canada vs Korea friendly on the Sportsnet here last night, so I got to watch most of it... we lost 3-0 but as we all know, Canada is one of the better women's side in the world and it was an away game so it was a good experience I'm sure.

The scoreline was a little harsh considering that we had quite a few good offensive moments as well, but we were denied every single time by spectacular saves by Cdn keeper Erin Mcleod... Ji SY could have had at least two goals if it wasn't for the excellent goalkeeping (she had an excellent FK and two powerful long range efforts saved). So offensively we did well enough, but were physically dominated thoughout the entire game and couldn't hold up defensively...

Nonetheless, good effort and it was good to see our girls play on TV for once.

2014 AFC Women's Asian Cup Draw Results

Group A: Vietnam, Australia, Japan, Jordan
Group B: Korea Republic, China PR, Thailand, Myanmar

    Location: Vietnam
    Duration: 5/14/2014~5/25/2014
    Format:
    1. Top two teams from each group shall advance to the knockout stage and qualify for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Canada.
    2. 3rd place finisher from each group shall play head-to-head playoff to determine the fifth teams that will represent AFC in the 2015 WWC.

For now the WWC field allocated for the AFC has expanded from 3 to 5 as a result of the WWC field expansion from 16 to 24 as well as we were drawn into easy group, we should be able to book our tickets to Canada.

FYI, Korea DPR was banned to participate in this tournament due to the positive results from several players on drug testing at the 2011 WWC.
