Ok, it looks like everything is coming together finally to get this done. The gift is similar in style to what we gave Diego, but on a smaller scale due to HASF not being involved. I would like to include one of our new scarves with this as well. This is a Cauldron gift only, as HASF didn't have much interaction with Chris, though I'm sure he's supportive of our goals. It was still expensive as it had to be custom framed and engraved, but a little more reasonable. I'm hoping the LLC or individuals will be able to help me out with this, as I took quite a hit on the last one despite many people donating. I didn't mind because of what Diego meant to the team and community. Chris is that same sort of special exception. I wouldn't have put it together if I wasn't willing to spend it. This small token of praise is the least Chris deserves for the years he gave to this community. Besides being a Wizard from Day 1 in this league and the titles he helped this team win - he truly gave back to this community, all while showing an uncommon grace and class that was evident to everyone. Hopefully he remembers his years here as fondly as we do. I'm looking forward to reminding him on Saturday night what he meant to us.
If you're planning on using any YCJ photography, you're cutting it real close. My shooting and work schedule is absolutely slammed the rest of the week. If a request comes in late Thursday night, my guess is that it won't get filled. I'm just sayin'
Sorry Andy, I could've sworn I sent you an email about it. I'm sure you had plenty of shots from 2004 or prior that would've worked great, but due to our crappy attendance last year, most of the 2005 shots that were online were less than ideal. I emailed Jeff Bowers with the team for help, and he supplied me with the 8x10 I used. Thanks for being gracious as always with your work. On an unrelated note, I'm doing the capture of last week's pregame tonight, so hopefully I can get that to you here soon.
