So, do you suppose everyone is into archery now because of Hunger Games?

I was watching it with someone who actually thought that was real. (this person was Canadian, btw :D)

It's possible. I could not take it up because just watching their focus made me feel like my eye was going to pop a vessel. o_O Yeah a lot of people were fooled by that. I was like "You know the Queen would not go for that these days." I don't know if she was putting on her signature iron facade but she looked like she wanted to go back to the palace a chill during the ceremonies. I'm not going to give up on Michael. I think he'll come home with a some golds, but I believe he's so burned out from swimming.

He's good. He keeps getting beat up in the pasture, but he'll survive. :) I just wish I could get out to see him more. Work has been very, VERY hectic and the weather's been brutal. It'll probably be another 3 weeks before I can really get back into riding more than 1x a week.

The WNT should all wear eye patches and dress like pirates. They already have the striped shirts.

I think I enjoy watching "Chopped" too much.

I've been meaning to watch that - I love food-related shows but mostly just watch Top Chef (and all of its derivatives) and No Reservations. Any other recommendations?

Everyone cool is on Sesame Street.

Has anyone seen the documentary about the dude who plays Elmo? Is it any good? [I just rejoined Netflix but might ditch it again...]

Ok, so I just posted in the USA vs PRK thread about this, but apparently Lauren Cheney has a niece called "Cherrybomb Fox" (as seen in this video). For real? Who names their kid that? She seemed like a cool kid at least.

I've heard it was really, REALLY good. I haven't seen it myself (I have a backlog of documentaries to get through) but these people have good taste in such things. So, I trust them. :)

I watched it. I loved it. Very well put together doc.
There is a new kickstarter campaign to finance a new documentary about the last puppeteer of Sesame street.... a guy that plays 2 characters... any guesses about who they might be???

    You would be surprised...

I really liked the Being Elmo documentary.
My taste level might be questionable and I'm no chef but I like Chopped, Iron Chef, re-runs of Alton Brown's Good Eats. This most recent Next Food Network Star wasn't the best of the seasons of that show but I've enjoyed various seasons.

But (aside from the Olympics) my favorite summer viewing is So You Think You Can Dance. I don't know much about dance and I wasn't a dancer but I love this show.

    Another league attempt.

Still enjoying the Olympics. I have surprisingly taken a liking to observing the distance running events.

I really like watching track & field. Though I readily admit I wouldn't be that into watching a full meet in the stands (or a full distance event without tv cutting parts of the race). I did want to see more of the field events & heptathalon & decathalon than nbc has shown us.

If it comes back, grab a shotgun. Two to the head. That kills zombies.

I'm not reading about it nor devoting energy toward it. Especially in the bigsoccer forums. I did watch two of the Chicago team's webcasts this summer. But that's it.
