Funny enough... KKJ is the subject of a poll on one of the (NUMEROUS) blogs out there... about if KKJ will make the real pro team. The options being No, no chance; Yes, because of the performances of Bellion, Diabate, and Gouffran; Maybe, Let's see him prove himself with the CFA. http://www.actus-girondins.com/ Only 80 votes so far with that sample size (potentially stuffed by the netizen army), its 8%, 53%, 39% respectively. I guess these bordeaux fans are very hopeful SOMEONE can help them.
Less than three months ago actually, things have gotten better and they even beat Lille away 5-4 (it was really an epic match). It's really a shame they don't have any cup left to play because it would have been easier for Kim to get some minutes.
Let's see him do something for the reserves and earn a pro contract before at all worrying about the senior side. I presume Bordeaux will want to decide fairly quickly before his contract expires and he goes for free to the highest bidder. Stupid winter of cold cancelling CFA matches left and right.
I guess he's impressing the senior manager enough that some of the blogs suspect that Bordeaux will be looking to sign him (away from whatever mystery club he's with) on a permanent basis. "He's fast, he scores goals, I'm interested" http://girondins33.com/breves.php?id=4965
The original article with not much more than a pic... the writer comments how well he's shown this morning that he's a good player, good with the ball, and comfortable in front of the net. I presume he raised eyebrows in one of the few mixed practices since joining (the senior side was off mon + tues). http://www.sudouest.fr/2012/02/16/g...sud-coreen-kim-plait-a-gillot-635344-4558.php
Gillot was asked about KKJ again and said that he wants to give him 2-3 matches to acclimate in the CFA as he's just arrived before considering him for the senior side, before repeating how he likes the combination of speed, technique and scoring.
Bordeaux reserves got back in action this weekend losing to Monaco's reserves 3-1. KKJ played the full 90 apparently but as with most reserve/youth teams, details are sparse... Sala scored. A site unvisited in a while reports (looks like Monaco's reserves fielded a number of PCY's old teammates like Mendy, Hansson, Malonga and Kurzawa): http://www.planete-asm.fr/actualite/9323-cfa-la-reserve-s-impose-3-1-face-a-bordeaux-maj.html Bordeaux : Olimpa - Fuchs (Azrag, 49è), Konongo, Gostisbehere, Grabit - Biyogo Poko, Laoudini (Laborde, 75è), Saivet (Mignon, 42è), Kim - Sala, Chevalier (cap.).
Another match tomorrow from one of the cancelled earlier matches. Also echoing what I read in some of the bordeaux forums, one could try to get creative and work around the window like with KKJ... i.e. find a team that still has an open window and could be enticed to deal with a few hours of paperwork, then work out a gentleman's agreement with KKJ not to leave in the summer even if you publicly announce the lack of option to buy (to avoid violating transfer window rules).
Played 80 in a 2-0 win with the reserves. Girondins forum guy mentioned he's adapted better and showing his speed and technical skills. http://forum.girondins.com/girondin...our-les-joueurs-de-la-cfa-id625634-page8.html
A pic and some more commentary. Again complimentary and it seems he showed a lot even if he didn't score. http://www.foot33.fr/CFA-Les-GIRONDINS-respirent-mieux_a944.html
An article from the local paper recapping... I dunno how he didn't score in the picture but I guess he had at least three good attacks. So I guess he's doing as well as can be hoped outside the lack of goals in two matches. I guess the match petered out after people got sent off. http://www.sudouest.fr/2012/02/27/les-girondins-assurent-l-essentiel-643920-766.php
for anyone who has a Euro to burn, the site has the match available. http://www.girondins.com/vidéo-match-cfa.html-1
He didn't play over the weekend in a 2-0 CFA victory as far as I'm able to tell but they have another match tomorrow. There are 8 (vs the usual 3-5) pros being called to this match so we'll see what happens.
I don't know why he alternates CFA matches (starting / not playing at all vs. Sala/Chevalier who start every match)... I presume its to help him "adjust", but he's starting the CFA match today. Keita - Chalmé,Fahrasmane,Gostisbehere,Marange - Poko,Sertic,Kim,Chevalier (cap) - Sala,Saivet. EDIT: Ended in a 0-0 draw. No deets yet.
Recap here... looks like KKJ and Sala were dangerous even if there were no goals scored. Gillot was there to observe first-hand. Kim was taken out @71. http://www.girondins.com/match-–-sans-0-0.html
Scored his first goal today for the reserves against one of the better CFA sides. http://www.sudouest.fr/2012/03/11/c...ondins-de-bordeaux-bat-tarbes-656183-4679.php
I am guessing they are just one euro away. Like midweek's CFA: http://www.girondinstv.com/video/cfa-bordeaux-vs-marseille-consolat I guess its a good thing that he's scoring even on a short week. If I recall Gillot said that the ground midweek was all bumpy and hard to judge players even though he sent so many pros out to be judged. And KKJ's been alternating CFA matches so to play two in a row has to be a step in the right direction.
