A question for the guys on here who are familiar with Kiev. Need to get from Boryspil airport to kiev centre (and back again a few days later). Would it be best to book a taxi before we go or just get one at the airport?
airport... although avoid "private drivers". that is, drivers with usual cars.... they will overcharge you... so you have to negotiate... look for professional taxi cars at the airport.
to Kiev center - using private taxi - you can pay 200-250 UAH. you have to negotiate like in Thailand ( aprox. 25-30usd) from my experience. On the airport are also regular taxi companies so the prices are fixed (but little bit higher). On the euro time probably prices will be much higher. You can also use marshutka ( buses from the airport, I'm not sure - number 602 goes to the center ) - for ... 11 hrywna Better exchange dollars to hrywna on the airport ( they have everywhere the same exchange rate) Mat
What about getting back to the airport? The day we come home we need to be back at Boryspil by about 8 AM, would we be able to get a taxi from Kiev that early without booking?
to get to airport would be cheaper than to Kiev so can book any taxi. approximately price-15-25$ (mb cheaper)
