Ki Sung-Yong on the bench against Hibernian. Match is currently going on in (first half).

Not a very good match but Celtic pull out the one-nil win thanks to Keane's penalty. Ki Sung-Yong stayed on the bench. I wonder if Lennon will bring him in to start any point.

While he's getting results, no matter how scrappy, then it's looking more and more doubtful.

Lennon is playing the rest of the season for a shot at the job and as long as he has a winning team then I doubt he'll be in a rush to break it up.

On the other hand, there were more than a few sloppy performances out there, admittedly on a bad playing surface. What he(Lennon) can't afford to have is players feeling comfortable about their places in the side with a Scottish Cup semi-final and potential final to follow.

So maybe the thought of freshening things up will be playing in his mind.

Any news or opinions on Ki's playing status? Hasn't played since TM left.
Does Celtic have a reserve team? Maybe he can somehow try to maintain some level of sharpness.

At least loan him out to somewhere so he can get playing and be ready for the world cup.

There is a window for that and it's closed. There are only a few matches left in the season. It's really winding down now.

Ki Sung-Yong nowhere to be seen in the Scottish FA Cup tie vs. Ross County.

Ross County 2-0 Celtic. Celtic is upset in the Scottish FA Cup semi-final.

Celtic put out an unchanged team from the last two games barring Boruc (i.e. very much the first XI).

I have no idea why they don't play Ki Sung Yong. They have no chance of winning the league...You would think they would try to develop their young talents. No wonder this cock-amamey team can't even dominate the scottish league, they don't know how to manage talent or something lol. I've seen this celtic team play, Ki Sung Yong is easily one of the most talented technically. if Ki Sung yong plays likes crap in the WC because of this third rate team...grrr...:D

Well with all the bad feelings after this match, I wonder if Lennon will decide to go with Ki Sung-Yong on Tuesday v. Motherwell. I was surprised that he didn't even make the substitutes bench today. I'm not sure if what that's indicative of -- the significance of the match, what Lennon thinks of Ki Sung-Yong, etc. etc.

Only 6 more regular season matches to go. Season ends Sunday, May 9 vs. Hearts.

I think Lennon summed up his feelings, and failings, after the match. Since he has taken charge he's gone with players he knows. Players he felt he could trust. That's why Lee Naylor has been playing at left back instead of Braafheid. Naylor fitted that category for Lennon.

But yesterday, those players he trusted in let him and the support down, big time.

Never say never, but I'd imagine that there would be changes for Tuesday nights game.

you know, IMO i think he should just leave celtic at the end of the season and go to a la liga team or a EPL team, preferably Man United.
