I don't know the official numbers, but there were a TON of people at the Meet the Team day this past February. They said it was season ticket holders only, but there must have been a few thousand people there. I think certain smaller package holders get to attend as well.
I'd imagine that expanded attendance criteria would do wonders to include many of the members of this forum ZING! Sorry it was a watermelon over the plate that I just had to take a swing.
I don't remember them handing out bobble heads since I first got season tickets in 2007, did I just miss one or do I have terrible memory?
No links, but people on "the inside" who were around at the time that HSG took over told me that while the team just focused on getting butts inside the stadium on a game-by-game basis when they were still league-run, and thus was a lot more dependent on walk-up sales, HSG puts a lot more premium on season ticket sales, especially now that they have their own stadium. I do remember seeing some numbers 10 or so years ago that showed that the Burn had one of the lowest season ticket counts in the league, which were partially goosed by selling Flexi-Pass packages. And I don't think that the Burn/FCD is alone in this. I also remember that the Galaxy's season ticket count wasn't terribly high when they played at the Rose Bowl, but that it's much higher now at the HDC. And when the Dynamo played at Robertson Stadium, their season ticket count wasn't terribly high, but they're pushing it harder now that they've got their own place.
How bout those green pants... Edit: hmm, issues with the formatting, here's the link. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...83846746152.395421.36237821151&type=3&theater
