Huge opportunity for Gladbach to dig its way out of the bottom three and bury Aachen in the process.

Not being taken so far. It's 0-0. At least 53 minutes gone.

84th minutes, still 0-0. Gamecast shows most of Aachen's shots from outside the box (though one hit the post). Gladbach has 15-10 edge on shots, each team with three on goal. Kasey just came up with a save on a shot from about 12-15 yards out.

... but good for Keller, all the same. After a bad outing three weeks ago, he has come back with three straight shutouts. [result]It's been a good stretch for YA keepers ... Hahnemann also has two straight shutouts, and (counting Mexico) Howard has four.[/result]

Also, honorary YA Vedad Ibisevic started for Aachen.

The Bundesliga is full of mediocrity this year. Only 6 of 18 teams have winning records.

I categorize it as 2-3 very good/great teams, 2-3 good teams, and 12-13 pretty crappy ones.

Bundesliga standings after today. 30 points separates the top team from the bottom. It's 48 points in the Prem. But La Liga is also on the same 30 pts spread. 43 points in Holland, after two consecutive PSV losses. 45 points in Italy (after only 21 matches too).

In my opinion the bottom 6 teams of the bundesliga have more quality than the bottom 6 teams of any other league.

Yeah. If there was a battle of last place teams, I would bet all my money on Hamburg beating Watford:) .

Keller gets a 2 from kicker and designated Spieler des Spiels.

Kicker loves Keller, I suppose because he's American.

    (Doesn't everyone?)
