Whatever role they have given Dempsey, it's certainly working so far.

Bocanegra cleaning up really well in the back. No shots on target for Wigan, from what i recall.

Healy on for Kamara, striker for striker, maybe they kill the game and hold for crucial away win.

Does anyone have a video of Dempsey's goal?

Boca and Dempsey go 90 and Clint might be kicking himself for the couple missed chances in the 2nd half. Tough result for Fulham.

An away point for Fulham. Off the Sky commentary, both clubs missed good chances but the PK giveaway was needless.

    Still, it's an away point.

Dempsey has really picked it up in recent weeks (3 league goals and 1 goal vs. Brazil) and is definitively stating his case for one of the two US spots at forward.

A couple years ago it was Beasley who really made a name for himself for PSV. McBride then picked up where Beasley left off. Now, Dempsey has stepped and given himself a positive rep in the EPL.

Ultimately, this bodes well for other Americans in the future.

Dempsey was a bit unlucky on the shot of his that was saved, although he probably should have put away one of the two great chances he had after his goal. I couldn't tell if on the second one he was going for a shot or an assist.

It looked like a clear shot that was a bit behind Clint.. It was tough but maybe he should have put it on goal..

Overall, Dempsey has now scored as many Premiership goals as Shevchenko in 1/3 the minutes played.

Shevchenko was bought for $30 million dollars..

How much does that make Clint worth? :D

Over the last 8 Prem games (dating back to last year), he's probably been as good as any player in the league.

For example, Dempsey is tied with Anelka for 4 goals over the last 8 Premiership games. No other player in the league has more than them.
Not Drogba, or Lampard, or Fabergas or anyone else.

When you factor in he's only played the equivelent of 5 1/2 games, that's even more impressive.

Also, Dempsey has had a couple assists. Plus, he's obviously been dangerous otherwise (near misses + keeper saves, etc.)

Now if he can continue this level performance for another 8-10 games this year, we may really be onto something...(first real breakout star for US)

    watched this one... ugh

bouazza giving up that pk was the only way that wigan was going to score... they never really had a chance that worried me

this is like, a replay of every game this season

    fulham up early

    miss some chances

    give up the lead late

the defense played fine in this... konchesky was great, bocanegra was solid though he made one error holding the ball too long that resulted in a deep turnover, but it didn't result in anything

dempsey is the best player up top for fulham. period. not just the fact that he's scoring, but for how dangerous and confident he looks on the ball... he seems to turnover the ball so little, which is really contrary to how he's played on the wing for fulham... something to keep in mind.

if seol doesn't get a run out ahead of bouazza next game, i'm not sure what's up... bouazza had a couple nice dribbles, but couldn't provide any decent service for the forwards and gave up that ridiculous foul.

healy hasn't been starting, presumably, due to the fact that he's been playing so much for northern ireland... started two games this week for them
