That's really amazing. He really earned that team MVP award this year, and I couldn't be more delighted that this signing has worked out so well. He's an example to the league with his effort level, and the skill is fantastic for us fans. I hope MLS can sign many more great players like Robbie.

was wondering the same thing. I think from left to right: Brian Rowe (backup GK), David Lopes, Leonardo. pretty confident on the last two. not sure about Rowe.
Shortly after that was taken, DJL clumsily feel backwards, instinctively grabbed for something to hold him up, caught the waistbands of Rowe and Leonardo, causing their pants to fall down. Not the first time this season that an an error in judgement by Lopez left his defender and goalkeeper exposed...
That is not how you score, DJL. You're doing it wrong. Você está fazendo errado, meu amigo! And...sadly...the boss is right. The times have changed...

KEANE back to Premier League? http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/sweden-may-feel-impact-of-keanes-winter-plans-3295359.html http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/premier-league/lambert-open-to-keane-loan-move-3296250.html http://www.irishtimes.com/sports/soccer/2012/1116/1224326688645.html
i think this would only keep keane sharp, maybe even more sharp(if possible), hes still young enough to put some minutes during the off season. i think him going on loan is a win-win situation.
Hmmm... I'm not sure Bruce is going to buy that line after what happened with Omar this year. Then again, it may come down to his contract.
listen, one player getting hurt(no matter how big, and how much it hurt us this year) isnt going to eliminate the want and/or need for us to send some of our players on loan during the off season, whether it is our stars fine tuning their game, or our up-n-comers getting experience at a faster pace. the time on the field during the off season is invaluable. and there is obviously the risk of someone getting hurt, but you never really let that make much of a difference when making a decision. its soccer, and SOMETIMES players get hurt, but thats simply an expected part of the game, and its going to stop them from playing.

Grant Wahl @GrantWahl 1 thing I found interesting this season: Whenever Landon Donovan wasn't on the field, Robbie Keane (not Beckham) was given captain's armband
That's because Beckham was never the backup captain, it was Keane and before Keane it would be Berhalter
There were games where he wore the armband, but after the bad blood from the loans, etc., I think they decided it was best to not revisit that.
Wasn't there an article where it explained the whole becks armband thing? Where the team voted keane baclup captain, even becks?
The continued humiliation of MLS’ most talented ‘unidentified fan’ http://blogs.thescore.com/counterat...iation-of-mls-most-talented-unidentified-fan/
I'm assuming this has something to do with tradition, like men having to get groomed at a barber shop before heading to a nice upscale meal back in the days. I remember the first time I got a sting-and-slap after a close shave at the barbers - felt like my skin was on fire at first, then the barber started lightly slapping my face to spread the aftershave and make it less painful.
