Usual disclaimer...not flaming, just a chance for our fans to see what other fans have to say about our team/coach/players/fans/stadium. Not much on the BS Seattle board, I am assuming they have another forum somewhere else, but here are the items on BS that mention KC.

First Sounders game in ages where I'm expecting a loss going in. We'll see what happens.

KC is gonna be a hard team to must win against. They're 2 runs on the trot and are sitting on 28 points from 14 games and after our Montreal debacle now can claim the best defense in MLS with only 10 against.

I'll be happy with a point. A win, I think, will probably have to come from a couple lucky bounces and/or colossal SKC mistakes.

KC has a lot of attacking options and they will probably press down the wings quite a bit.I think the key will be if we can feed both Alvaro and Mauro on quick counters. This will keep KC's back 4 in place. When Myers moves forward, bad things happen

Flaco definitely deserved that red and it will probably be a multi-game. However, Espinoza should have gotten a foul for the tackle proceeding and Collin should have gotten a second yellow for persistent fouling.

You can't go through the player to get ball, which is what Espinoza did. The game turned real cheeky at the end. Bunbury should have gotten a yellow for the hit on Parke, Espinoza had several where he went through the player and didn't get the call, and Collin's repeatedly fouling after getting an easy yellow. Sounders, of course, answered in kind and seemed to get the call each time they did. *shrug*

As an aside, I don't think Colin made one defensive play that wasn't a foul. No idea how he managed to finish the game.

Their defense was highly confused. Just watch the replay of Montero statue-izing 2 defenders and nutting Nielson, with the ball banging off the post. Mostly, their D had no clue what to defend, and the reality is-- we shanked a bunch of open shots. MANY of our chances were top-notch, quality.

I can understand not subbing in Zak since KC's only clear objective besides time-wasting was committing harsh fouls.

Finally, I did love that Nielsen's timewasting was rewarded with both a yellow-card for him and conceding GOTW. His cheeks-puffed expression while Ianni is horizontal in the highlights still-shot is a total classic. We need a five-frame montage of that + the 4 stoppage time goals he's conceded to the Sounders.

This gem was added this morning. I guess people wouldn't hate us as much if we sucked....

I love how they think that SKC got away with all of their fouls but they were called with every one. This isn't an isolated concept among Sounder supporters...

C'mon, realize you're bias and account for it. I know that I'm going to think that the reffing is going against me, but I'm smart enough to take a step back and think about the situations that we got away with one.

And had we lost, the same officiating would somehow been much less noteworthy and markedly improved.

Or that Seattle actually invented Toronto... only so that they could prepare the league for themselves.

I'm starting to think that MLS is a lot like Lake Wobogon. All our refs are below average and each player on my favorite team plays sexy, attractive football.

I've met a lot of great Sounders fans and love what their team brings to the league, but man some of their more vocal online supporters get real grating real quick...
