Anyone living on Kamloops on here? I would really like to form a group that meets together for games at a pub or something, make the occasional road trip down, etc.
I'd love to meet up with people for matches (similar to what the Southsiders do at Doolin's for away games). I don't have Sportsnet One, so whenever a match is on that channel (not many, thankfully) I have to go out to watch the match. Any interest at meeting up at a pub (Fox & Hounds, maybe?) to watch the Philly game on Mar. 26?
Not that it matters all that much, but the Fox N Hounds meetup is now the official first event of the OK Insiders Kamloops. I've been in touch with Rob in Kelowna, and it just seems smart to affiliate with the Southside/OK Insiders for now. Our numbers are very small so far (the facebook group - which everyone is welcome to join - has 7 people) but I imagine it will grow quite quickly. Anyways, I'll be there. My friend Justin intends to come. My other friend Justin and his friend might come. One other guy on fb things he can make it -- so it looks like a group of 2-7 for tomorrow. I'll be wearing hat and scarf. It won't be hard to find me. I look forward to meeting anyone who can come. Fox N Hounds Pub Sahali Mall on Columbia Street 1pm kickoff -- maybe show up around 12:40pm
For whitey and any others that are from Kamloops, you may want to join the facebook group "OK Insiders (Whitecaps Interior Supporters) Kamloops." For now that's the page we are using for group info - although I still intend to post here. Whitey, thanks for coming out and bringing "B" - it was nice to have someone to talk the Caps with. Rob and Marty from the Southsiders forums plan on joining us for future meetups. Hopefully we can get the number over a dozen which should make for some good atmosphere!
