    Latest results (June 21)

    Ulsan 3-0 Daegu
    Busan 2-0 Daejeon
    Pohang 1-0 Bucheon

I think Dodo, Lee CS, and Choi SK scored for Ulsan. Not sure about the other matches. Dammit, why doesn't the KOrea Times write about these matches?

They haven't updated the K-League news since..God knows when.

well I believe it has something to do with the foreign sports writer going on vacation for two weeks and the two other Korean writers in the sports department are, as I said KOREAN. Therefore unsupervised they are doing what Koreans do in an office. Nothing.

The sports section had four articles posted a day up until the date he left.

In the 11 days since he has gone on holiday they have posted four articles total. I bet they are having a great holiday at work themselves.

I could be way wrong but I doubt they let more than one of the three go on vacation at the same time.

    Welcome to 'hard working' Korea.

Many Koreans + office = 60 hours of pretending to work a week. Iv'e seen it so many times in so many different places. Not to say that there aren't a fair share who do have to work to earn their ridiculous salaries.

Are Daejeon now going to do the 'Liverpool 02-03' impersonation as I have suspected they might?

Getting 4-0 and 2-0 (against Busan) defeats doesn't look good. I hope the fans still turn up for them. The league needs a good example set to embarass the other sides.

we need more threads on the k-league not less. The season has 30 rounds left. We will be up to page 45 by then.

Great Great Great Great Great game tonight. Anyang v Suwon.

Best game I have ever seen in the k-league. Shame on the tv networks. That game would have had ANYONE glued to the screen. Instead we got to see some average baseball games all afternoon.

    here is my match report:

    werd.

At one point in the long era of the K-League, Anyang and Suwon were once close friends. The supporters shared ideas and supported each other for the Asian Cup Winners Cup and the Asian Champions Cup (now just the Asian Champions League)

    BUT
The rivarly blasted into hatred like it ought to.

I'm glad to hear that it was a great game. Recently, the supporters of Suwon boo down the Suwon players after every game because of their lackadaisical performance. They even have a banner that says "We want your tooji (spirit) more than our victory". Its actually a satirical/sarcastic banner that mocks Suwon's own club song that goes something like this:

    ¿ì¸®°¡ ¿øÇϴ°Ç~ ½Â¸®! ¾È¾çÀÇ ¼ûÅëÀ» Á¶¿©¶ó~...
What we want is~ victory! Run down Anyang's players until they can't breath~...

Anyway, great game Suwon and Anyang.

    Thanks for the report, RFE/NJS.
Hopefully i'll get to watch some more K-league games at the stadiums...gosh i hate my job. 4 PM - 9 PM. Jesus.

Lee Chun-soo scored a goal that actually hit his back.

The thing is, he brought the wrong shirt so he had to wear someone elses shirt and coincidently, the ball hit his back and went in.

My favorite team is Sungnam, because I used to live there and I am a Moonie. Also our team is STACKED. Also, I like yellow.

Geez, that match really should have been on TV. Shame on the big networks.

What an advertisement that would have been for the league!

The Anyang photo is now on my desktop.

I am between the two red flares on the far left. Holding the banner. Can you see me smiling?

Still not sure exactly how I should react to that banner.

I'll give these morons the benefit of the doubt and assume it's not Hitler... or that if it is, they chose it not because it's Hitler, but because it's a bloke with his arm up, as many sports people do here in unison when supporting their club.

There's also the possibility that they are aware it's Hitler, but are too ignorant to understand the implications of using his image in such a way.

There's four Chinese characters that say "Anyang Empire"... wonder if this is some sort of sick pun to the planned Nazi empire.... who knows.

Reminds me of the short-lived "Hitler Bar" here in Busan....
