2013 is off to a terrible start.

Pathetic game. Can't even score against a 10 man Samp.

Horrible start to Peluso's juve career. Luckily, you can't judge a player based on one game.

Extremely poor performance. The worst I have seen under Conte. Not one player had a good game. Must be to do with the preperation coming off the break. Conte needs to shake it out of them immedietely.

Peluso couldn't possibly have gotten off to a worse start. He and the rest of the defense were horrible.

And you guys that keep saying we don't need a forward are delusional. This was yet another game that we completely dominated where we couldn't find a goal on open play. Gee, I wonder what the problem is.

A team like Juve shouldn't be relegated to having to put in hopeful crosses to try to get a goal. We need a real difference-maker in attack, and we CLEARLY don't have that guy.

Horrible start to the new year. The only thing that we can be greatful about is that there aren't any other real teams in Italy.

Respectfully disagree. He looked like the only active forward to me, trying to create chances. Of course we all know that he is a poor finisher.

Matri was given his chance and was shit. Vucinic squandered an east chance and was otherwise ineffective and Quags was invisible.

It's very simple. We need a real forward. Until that happens, we'll continue to have more frustrating days like this.

I think our problem was not having warriors like Vidal and Licht out there while starting both DC and Peluso. Not to mention the horrible officiating, we should have had three pks called in the first half.

We need officiating to beat Samp at home? Licht would have played in place of Padoin, who had a good game. And the MF wasn't a problem as we dominated there. The is, and continues to be our inability to make the most of our chances; and that's squarely down to the striker play.

I agree that we need better forwards, I've been saying it since last season.

Giovinco passed to nobody, his crosses were atrocious and he tried taking on too many people and when he had no chance he'd fall down. He was ineffective.

To be fair, our defense, especially Peluso in the 2nd half, was crap.

I just read Marrotta's statement wherein he defended the fact that we haven't gone out to get a striker yet. He points to the fact that we have scored more goal than any other team in Serie A, which is a misrepresentation of what the real problem is. We should be scoring even more goals than we have, given the fact that we basically dominate every game we play and generate a lot more chances than our opposition. I hope he doesn't believe the nonsense he says.

Yes, no question about that; but our defense is usually very solid. The one consistent theme is the ineffectiveness of the strikers; and that has not been adequately addressed.

He is wrong. Roma have scored the most goals in Serie A with 42 goals. Juventus have scored 40 goals and played a match more.
