Yeah but doesn't make it anything less than a superb tackle. Gets the ball clean, takes out three men in the process, his team keep the ball as well, great stuff.
You mean penalty (inside area or not), red card, ten match ban, heavy fine, manager sent off, and Bayern/Barca trolls if it was a Real Madrid player.
That's not looking likely. Tons of rumors he'll be sold for a shitload of cash, which will finance the clubs' reinforcements for CL. I'm still hoping he stays, but I'm not as optimistic as I once was.
@natenate101 : all I hear about lately is this Carvalho dude. Is he really good, or just overhyped due to lack of decent DM's on the market..?
He's been outstanding, in Portugal. First season playing as a starter in a decent league and he has made a huge mark. He is improving defensively and already has above average control with the ball at his feet and good passing range. Big talent, but as I have mentioned before he is still young and a position like DM ain't usually for the youthful. I think he'll succeed but he really has to land in the right situation. A move to ManU in a time of turmoil doesn't seem like the best move to me, so I hope he goes somewhere else. He is finding a place in the NT now, and could be a piece they have been missing. Talent aside, probably could do with another season at Sporting, in the CL, to see how much he improves before the BIG move. But yeah, money talks and bullshit walks.
So with Portugal it would be..... Carvalho, Moutinho and who else in the three-man midfield? Also who do you expect/desire as the attacking options with Cristiano?
Sounds right. I'd think Bento would stick with Veloso as the vet, but depending on how he plays have the other 2 on standby. YS, seems like the usual aside from Ronaldo....Nani, Varela, Vieireinha, maybe Bruma if healthy, or even Queresma who has been outstanding for Porto since returning from the middle east.
They were ok. Better than the Atleti - Chelsea game, but i wouldn't have had any problem missing out on them.
