The new player in the Juan Pablo Angel sweepstakes? Chivas USA. I've just been told by a source that Goats R now the favorites 2 land Angel.

I'm not surprised, we always get the galaxy's rejects

JPA leaving galaxy because they have apparently struck a deal with Robbie Keane. Robbie would of course be a DP....so yeah. They need to unload JPA.

Sources confirming that the Robbie Keane deal is done. Can't happen without Angel moving though so..

I hope Chivas USA doesn't take 35 Angel.

It’s possible he was just on a bad streak with the Galaxy and/or didn’t fit in to our style of play, but from what I’ve seen and NYRB fans have said he’s finished. Still you can count on at least one goal from him if he does sign for you on 16 October.

I hate to say it, but JPA is washed up. If this is all our club can get, then so be it.

so if it's a trade, who would we give up? or would it be for allocation $?

i dont know about this. JPA's been practically invisible on a team full of creators. i dont even think he'd be an upgrade over moreno - who brings much more to this team with his leadership.

    NO

Apparently the past is far superior to the future. With Moreno and JPA up top, we would scare the hell out of anybody in the 30+ Sunday League.:D

JPA was viciously slapped in the face by the galaxy.

Well we will find out by the end of the day. The way things are going for this club by the owners, this won't happen. Angel goes to another team or retires.

Chivas USA has been searching for a prolific forward and Angel would fit that bill (not this season though).Could bring top pedigree to CHV.

Angel to Chivas USA is a no.

Yep. We traded Bowen to you guys last year. Jack McBean is on the roster and our U17s just won some cup or other. The youth system also got a major overhaul this season, probably won't see and products hit MLS as starters for a few years, but probably 1 or 2 by 2015.

Can we trade him back to you? :D

All he does is tweet and I find it quite comical that his twitter back ground picture is of him lining up a shot that wasn't even on target on his debut.

All kidding aside, maybe JPA is worth a look? He's had 3 goals this season, that's more than Estupinan, Bowen, and Cortez combined.

    I say, why not?

He's player that... O.M.G!!!! fits the teams needs! Wow, crazy.

Also, I know it doesn't mean much but he's the classiest guy in the league, or very close to the top of the list. But that's just me, I loved him when he played for New York ( I was at his first home game) and was really bummed when he went to the Galaxy, he just never looked right in their kit.

Give him a shot, what's the worst that could happen?

The worse that can happen is an even greater reputation for giving refuge to Galaxy rejects. Our reputation as a second rate MLS club becomes more crystalized.
Our non-identity grows like an abcess.

Other than that, I hope scores a lot of goals.

Yeah, but that's just what the haters are going to think no matter what, who gives a crap? This team could win MLS Cup, the S.S. and the CCL all in one year and people would still talk about how they're a crap team and need to relocated and re-brand, or be less Mexican, or be more Mexican. The people that don't like this team just don't like them and never will. I really don't care what outsiders think, if Angel can come in and score goals for this club, then who cares if he played ONE YEAR (and not even a full one) for the Galaxy (let's face it, he's really a RBNY cast-off that took a detour through the Galaxy's locker-room.)

    Call me crazy, it's just that if you focus on the negative all the time, you're just going to be a sad old bastard. There's a lot of positive;

-Sure the Goats didn't sign Adu (or Feilhaber) but let's take a look at Fraser's acquisitions, and how well they're doing *cough* LaBrocca *cough*. I trust that Fraser knows what he's doing. For one, the man can stick with a line-up.

-As much as everyone b!tches about how this team isn't scoring goals there are only six teams that have scored more.

-They've never been blown out. Every game they've lost this year they've lost by one goal.

-Kennedy's is a BEAST. Full stop.

-Jazic is having a career season.

-This is a very young team. I think the average is like 25 or something.

-Speaking of young, the youngsters are having good year, the killer B's, Flores, Lahoud, Valentin is coming along well (not quite there but give him time, he's better than he was at the start of the season.)

I'm sure I could find more, but that's just off the top of my head.
