I understand that by April/may ,Joshua should be attaining his ITC. I believe he is 16 years old now.
Just trying to clear up all the false info out there about youths heading to Euro Academies. FIFA is quite clear in this matter: 19 Protection of minors 1. International transfers of players are only permitted if the player is over the age of 18. 2. The following three exceptions to this rule apply: a) The player’s parents move to the country in which the new club is located for reasons not linked to football. b) The transfer takes place within the territory of the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) and the player is aged between 16 and 18. In this case, the new club must fulfi l the following minimum obligations: i. It shall provide the player with an adequate football education and/ or training in line with the highest national standards. ii. It shall guarantee the player an academic and/or school and/or vocational education and/or training, in addition to his football education and/or training, which will allow the player to pursue a career other than football should he cease playing professional football. iii. It shall make all necessary arrangements to ensure that the player is looked after in the best possible way (optimum living standards with a host family or in club accommodation, appointment of a mentor at the club, etc.). iv. It shall, on registration of such a player, provide the relevant association with proof that it is complying with the aforementioned obligations. c) The player lives no further than 50km from a national border and the club with which the player wishes to be registered in the neighbouring association is also within 50km of that border. The maximum distance between the player’s domicile and the club’s headquarters shall be 100km. In such cases, the player must continue to live at home and the two associations concerned must give their explicit consent. http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/aff.../64/30/regulationsstatusandtransfer2010_e.pdf
So a player between the ages of 16 and 18 can move to the EU/EEA if i.-iv. are met, even if he does not have an EU passport, correct?
i through iv only apply for paragraph b (In this case, the new club must fulfil the following minimum obligations:), meaning it's an EU/EEA citizen or is moving from one EU/EEA country to another. I'm never sure that quoting FIFA rules really clears anything up.
think key words are "Within the Territory" meaning player is resident but moving across border to another team.
Bump! It seems like it's been ages since we last saw this kid on the field but I would like to stay up to date on him, I don't know something about him gives me the impression that he's the kind of player that has the potential to become a world class player(I know this word is taboo here but I do see it in him) if he is developed correctly. So anything new?
Video I made of his performance against Guatemala: http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2015/03/joshua-perez-highlights.html
There's just something very speacial when it comes to really left footed players. Hugo Perez was one also. They're just harder to play against similar to a lefty in boxing. It's a cultured left foot...and his speed...he's really something to get excited about. Him and Pulisic....wow.
your absolutely right about both Perez and Christian. Joshua needs to be fed the ball by Christian ,Luca, calvillo or zendejas. This team has the kid's to win the world cup. I hope Richie let's Perez attack attack, and pushes the outside backs high. This way you don't see Perez defending 70yards back on the USA side, then trying to attack 80yards forward. My point use Perez wisley.
