The first goal that Karlsruhe scored was a tap in from their striker after the keeper saved a Kennedy header. So he at least set up a goal with a header:)

Yeah that's true! I'm happy for Josh, he really wasn't getting a go at Nurnberg. Now he's shown if he gets a chance, he won't waste it! Maybe our other Aussie boys at nurnberg need to get out as well?

    Go Josh!

And yeah, hopefully Nuremburg, or more their 2nd team, can atleast be a kind of 'shop window' for the likes of Vidosic, Beauchamp and Spiranovic to impress fellow Bundesliga clubs.

Obviously Karlsruhe has been a new lease of life for Kennedy.

Another Karlsruhe-like scenario hopefully for the other 3 :) . And goodness knows, it's great to see Aussies tearing it up in the Bundesliga. It's certainly one of the premier leagues of the world, no question. You're no slouch of a player, if you make it in that league. More of our players should give Germany a go. Many Germans speak good English too.

Just finished watching the Bundesliga highlight show on tv, the header that the keeper saved was not off Kennedy after all. It was off Mario Eggimann.

That just shows what football has become. Very sad to read that.

No Kennedy for today's match vs Frankfurt as he injured his foot during training :(

A goalkeeping howler from Tom Starke gifted Karlsruhe their first win in six games and plunged Duisburg deeper into the relegation mire.

With time expiring the visitors were gifted a goal with nine minutes remaining.

Australia striker Joshua Kennedy chipped the ball into the box and Starke completely missed it, allowing Hajnal the simple task of an tapping in from six yards.

Some harsh comment on Jesus following last night's Karlsruhe win...

    http://www.bundesligatalk.com/the-synch-arminia-bielefeld-1-2-karsruhe/111

    Speaking of Set in Stone

Joshua Kennedy plays like his feet are set in concrete. With faster feet he could have created so many more opportunities. He is a fine target man and does a solid job of holding the ball for Iashvilli and Freis, but anytime he receives the ball in a threatening position, it feels like you’ve pressed the slow-motion button on your TV. Next thing you know a chance is squandered as he is unable to get off a shot.

I must admit if Kennedy makes this move myself and many other ppl are gonna be very dissapointed, he can do so much better then playing in the J-league (no offence to the J-league intended) but he's good enough to play in the Bundesliga, french ligue 1 and the english premier league..So overall not a very good career choice at the age of only 26..

i personally think its a good choice, its a 2 year stint with the club and he will be guaranteed starting every week on the other hand he may not get the same opportunity playing in europe. apart from dresden, he hasnt played a full season in a while and the j league is still quite competitive. and you can see his intent by signing a year 2 deal with probably him going back to europe at 28 where you're supposedly be at your peak

He should get a start most games but from what I have seen Davi >>>>> Jesus.

Def not the best striker on the team

Nobody in J.League's going to get 30 goals this season or next and yes Davi is an exceptional player.

If kennedy can produce at least 14 goals a season I'd say he's in good shape.

I'm looking forward to watching his debut. Pity cause I thought it'd be last weekend against FC Tokyo

Nagoya played a practice match the other day, not sure who the opposition was, but Jesus scored twice in it.

Also, it looks as though Davi is going to Q-League club Umm Salal.

With Davi going the acquisition of jesus makes more sense.
