Re: Josh Gatt transfers to Norway Wow. This is quite a rise by the kid- best of luck to him and I hope all the connections of his new coach help him move up even more in the future. I wonder how Molde's (quite a few puns there for thread titles if anyone wants to take a crack) schedule lines up with the U-20 qualifying and tournement this summer. They play summer ball there, right? I'd think this move rules out Josh for this summer. That's too bad for Rongen and the U-20s, but good in the larger sense that Josh will hopefully be getting first team minutes in Norway instead of playing in a youth tournement. Re: Josh Gatt transfers to Norway Yes, Molde is in the first division and from what I've heard it sounds like he'll be getting some decent playing time to start out. An Under 20 American actually making some noise in a first division league in Europe, that would be something, we'll just have to wait and see.
Re: Josh Gatt transfers to Norway I doubt this rules him out for the U-20 World Cup. Scandinavian teams understand how important the tournament is for their players exposure. Ole Gunnar is probably looking to develop him through this season for next. He's still quite young for a professional. If Gatt stayed with Altach he was going to miss qualifying to begin with.

This kid had the stones to go pro straight out of high school and now he's getting a chance in a respectable league. Big ups to Josh Gatt. I hope he dominates in Norway and gets capped by Bob soon.
