Unreal. It's like this organization spends all day trying to discover new depths of ineptitude. The worst part is we knew when they said he'd be here Monday that there was no way in hell he was showing up on Monday.
Not true at all. Joseph, Feilhaber, and Reis are the faces of this franchise along with Heaps. He is "our #9" though.

I like the point abecedarian makes though in the sense that Moreno is symbolic of the incompetence and bumbling nature of the organization. He is thus the 'face' of their incompetence- if you want to sum the Revs up to an outsider, you can probably do it by pointing to Jose Moreno. (Though you're right of course about Joseph and Feilhaber being the proper faces of the franchise).
The "face" of the franchise is Jay Heaps. Smiling, articulate, "we try harder." The "soul" of the franchise is Pepe Moreno because he shares one important thing in common with Bob Kraft--he doesn't give a rat's ass about the New England Revolution. He has other fish to fry. The "brains" of the operation....Mike Burns.
I have said it for years. The face of this franchise is Benjamin Franklin. The purpose of this franchise is to get as many people as possible to come to the stadium in the summer and spend some money while the Patriots are on vacation. The vision of this franchise is a full stadium of jumbotron motivated kids and their quiet, fat walleted parents spending as much as possible while the Revs spend as little as possible.
In local news today, the State Police were brought in to help the New England Revolution find their new Striker Jose "Pepe" Moreno. In a strange turn of events the underwear[shown above] was not that of Moreno but of Revolution President Mike Burns, which scared the dog and then refused to hunt. Handler, Sgt Butch Wood, said he had never seen the dog react that way and feels that Rusty's sense of smell might have been damaged by the scent. The State Police plan to file suite against the Revolution for damages in the amount of $2500.
It gives me a warm confident feeling when we're talking about strong, exact terms such as 'later this week', and 'a couple more days'. It's as much fun as 'we hope to...' and 'we're trying'. It continues. Kevin D.
