    GRANDE Michel!

Pina MOTM. i'm glad Ambriz kept him on the wings the whole game. he was making Puebla's defense his bitch.

Venado GTFO! he couldn't have had an easier opportunity on goal. he had 4 guys open to pass to.

Cubo was getting hacked all game long

    Fabian was MIA

overall, a great win. but the last 10-15 minutes were wasted. our guys didn't take advantage that we had an extra player and didn't go for the kill.

Good win for Chivas. Michel, Chaton and La Pina were Chivas best players today. Fabian needs to calm down and not lose his head all the time.

    2-1 win just like I predicted. ;)

Told u guys we arent as bad as we started the season. Patience is a virtue. This win again, is on Michel. We need better decision-making on the delantera, because these past two games we found some charquitos de "i'll take it" looking for goles.

please don't start with the "I told you so". Although we are winning we are still lacking up front. The notion that we need reinforcements still stand from the beginning of the season and I expect it to happen this offseason.

Fabian is non existent, Cubo has yet to score (although the kid got hacked like crazy), Magallon is done, Venado is officially useless. Must I continue?

the team is what it will reach, a competitive mid table team.

U just said what i said on the bold part. And why not start with the told you so? People here were saying "rebuild" and "clean house" and this team sucks and other nonsense like so. Our only deficiency is the delantera. Im glad you agree with me.;)

Eh a scrappy win, but we'll take it. It would have definately been embarrassing if we couldn't pull of the win, with a man advantage and a gifted penalty. I just hope Vergara's ************ ass doesn't go back on his word and does get refuerzos for next season.

Also I have to add, how incredibly embarrassing it was to see a clear 3 vs 1 chance get completely facked up.

As much as I loved Reynoso's penalty goal and the red card a few minutes later, I was trying to figure out what they were doing differently in those first few minutes of the second half. They were clearly generating more offense, and it wasn't just due to Pina owning the left side. On that second goal Fabian was going way wide right, don't know if he was already floating to the sidelines during the first few minutes.

Anyone see if they were doing something different before the tie, extra man, and second goal caused chaos in the formations?

Ruso was suggesting playing Fabian with one of the DMs. I don't know if I prefer that, but what is clear is that he can't by himself be the link between forwards and midfield.

He did okay at being the link last year and before. One of the problems I see is that Araujo offers nothing to the attack. He hardly even makes any forward passes. It's good that he doesn't turn the ball over too much, but come on now.

BTW, I don't like how our offense just consists of crosses from the wingers. Especially when they're not all that accurate. We need more from the center, ie Fabian.

The last three seasons since Chicharito left were of 16, 23, and 24 goals. Fabian did well scoring, but I don't think the team in whole did well scoring. So as a link ... I'd love it if we had some stat on scoring opportunities to have a better idea, but goals is the best we can go with.

Agree completely on your crosses from wingers. Chivas coaches find it awfully tempting when they see Pina and Venado (on his good days) to just go with a spread out 4-3-3 or some variation with them using their speed down the sidelines and then crossing the ball. We need Pina to do what he showed he could do yesterday, yes speed down the sideline, but then cut inside when appropriate.

On Fabian, I am half-tempted to have him on the right (opposite Pina) with the encouragement to drift inside when there are openings, then have him start in the middle. That would suggest starting someone else to occupy the middle. I don't know if Chapo can play there (so they'd essentially flipflop positions). Another alternative once Esparza is healthy is for Baez to start in midfield.

wow you are ridiculous. isn't this the championship team you are talking about? isn't this the delantera where Fierro was going to tear it up?
Isn't this the team that did not need refuerzos according to you?

seriously? you haven't told anyone anything. If anything you are finally waking up and seeing how much are delantera is lacking.

I wonder what Sanchez stats are in the first division.
Anything is better than Medina and I know Sanchez will be a great player, but he's had two seasons as a starter and he doesn't score nor does he assist, so I'm hoping for a bit more on the offense from him this season.

This. Ugly win but I'll take it. I dont expect this team to light up the remaining schedule but they're still in the running for a spot to the Liguilla.

WHat the hell are you talking about dude? Separate things dude. Overall im for the production of our own players. But, i have always been for bringing refuerzos that are young with upside and not petardos(this is where the infamous petardo shenanigans started). Now we need a dude in the delantera. The team changes dude. Contextualize, contextualize, contextualize. I have been saying that i wanted carreno for a while now, so dont get your panties in a bunch and read what i post carefully. Ridiculous:rolleyes:. Havent told anyone anything? dude, go read my posts before opening your mouth with pigeon-holed statements and assumptions.

One of 2 things: either you have read my posts and just speaking out your ass or you havent read my statements and speaking out your ass.

You should be happy that this team is winning again, you cannot expect them to play fantastic football when there has been so many changes in the line up and coaching seat. We just need to be patient and hope that Chivas can turn this season around.
