Fabian was solid. The team needs to work on finishing because they we should have had more than 1-0 lead at the half.

Good win. Besides the first 20 minutes of the second half the team played.

is it me or was it an odd time to debut 2 new guys in such an intense game?

Yeah I don't know if I agree with that. I wouldn't have taken Perez out.

Yeah it was a bit risky but Galindo didnt have any options. Chaton, L Perez, and Reynoso were injured.

About damn time Fabian!!! his best game in over a year easily, I liked how we played at times if Fabian could keep that form up RML the same and Sabah actually scoring this could be a very dangerous team

I was at the game and I would say it was about 60/40 chivas/leon fans and yeah the leon fans were a lot more vocal.

Great game and atmosphere. Fabian was brilliant.

That was the first Chivas' game I genuinely enjoyed since, shit, I dunno, when we beat Atlas? It's the first time in a long time where I feel what we did far outweighed the rival's mistakes in front of our goal or that Michel had saved us from disaster. I'm hopeful for the future... but not too much.

At the very least today must have shown Galindo that Reynoso is not needed.

today's game more than ever showed me that our club is truly in a restructuring phase. just looking at who we had on the bench and the fact that we debuted 2 guys today was further proof that it will be awhile until we are a serious contender. just as long as the directiva *cough* Vergara *cough* doesn't fuck shit up, then i think Galindo and CO. can bring back glory to this team.

That's the unfortunate thing. Vergara will find a to mess it up. I'm sure if Galindo goes on a 2 game losing streak he'll hit the panic button.

I think we need at least one winger in the transfer window.

I disagree, the defense was a nervous wreck through the entire game, especially Perales. Our approach to defending set pieces was terrible, it's clear Reynoso is still ahead of Perales/Alvarez in terms of organizing the defense.

The best thing about the game was Araujo not making a stupid mistake every 5 minutes. I also think it's time to bench Sabah in favor of Cubo.

i liked how we played with one DM rather than two like we normally play. would like to see Chaton start instead of Pato though. and yeah, despite Reynoso's slow ass we really do need him in the back. i feel a lot more confident with him in the back commanding the backline.

I thought Alvarez was pretty decent. Britos got the best of Perales, though.

Sabah has been showing a lot of hustle, he was fighting every ball and getting us a couple corners that we just wasted, much more than Cubo would be doing. It'd be ideal to get him to score again but he's mentioned that the team doesn't create many opportunities for him score [signs of frustration]. I wouldn't take him out just yet.

He also tends to pull defenders towards him leaving space open for others which is something Cubo does not do, add to that his inexperience as well as bad link up play and your pretty much playing with 10 men. It would be really stupid of Galindo to bench Sabah now that he is finally starting to gel with Fabian and Marquez Lugo(a good example of this was Fabian's second goal vs Leon).

I think it was just because cherokee was tired; he ran a lot. COronado i think plays RB, so i get it.

This. He moves better without the ball too. Id like to see Fierro pair up with Rafa or play on the wing when he comes back.

Id like to something like this at some point.

    —-------------Michel---------------
    ---Perez---Alvarez---Perales--Ponce--
    ---------Chaton---Lucho/Araujo-----
    -------Fierro--—----------Vaquero---
    —----------------Fabian-------------
    -----------------Marquez-----------

wasn't Coronado more of an offensive player when he started out? i remember in the 2009 U-17 WC he played as an attacking mid on the right side.

Yes, he was, but he was turned to a RB; even so, he is still more offensive, and less defensive than cherokee.
