There's not much more we can expect with the squad we have. Cruz Azul is the best team in the league right now, and we are currently far from that. I agree with two people above that a little tweek like benching DeNigris and pushing Rafa as our main striker could help. Also no more Gio
The biggest problem today was Tepa Solis. Gerardo Rodriguez had been our best player the first 4 games. This game brought back Ponce memories two weak fullbacks stretches your defense too much. Castro was trying his best to contain the attacks caused by Tepa and Vidrio, but it was too much. The play for the goal came from Tepa Solis's flank and was then finished by a player that was supposed to be "marked" by Vidrio. I was the first one to complain about Giovani Hdz being played out of position, but he seems to be growing into the role each game. I really don't think the Gio + Castro pairing has been doing that bad. They're definitely an upgrade from Araujo+???.
Guero tried playing it off by saying that De Nigris has been suffering from a really bad cold and that's why he took him out. Come on if that was the case why didn't he take him out earlier and leave RML as our main striker?! His tactical approach is pissing me off more and more each game.
Yeah these next 3 games are going to decide whether Guero knows what he's doing. The team has been more solid than last season, but there are obvious problems that need to be solved now. Rafa & Aldo pairing doesn't work and he needs to address that next game. Vidrio needs to benched in favor of Coronado or anyone else really. These next 3 games will decide if he has improved since his last stint at Chivas and if he should be given the summer+next season to work on the team. Guero's problem was always tactical inflexibility and a timid approach in the last phase of the game. Still think he should be given the full season. I can't really think of any decent coaches available either.
El Guero is not our problem. The coach is not our problem. El Guero has been great enough to bring our team out of the shame we were in last season.
I agree. The only thing I blame on Guero is not using RML to his full potential. Other than that (with the exception of a few substitutions) I've really liked his work.
El Guero Real sigue sin ajustar. Lo dije despues del partido contra Jaguares este equipo dependo mucho de lo que hace Fierro por la banda derecha. Desafortunadamente los otros equipos ya tambien se dieron cuenta y cada vez tiene menos espacio el Guero Fierro. Tambien sigo pensando que estamos desaprovechando a Bravo por la banda izquierda, aunque es un jugador que se mueve bien no tiene las caracteristicas para jugar como extremo. En mi opinion De Nigris a dejado mucho que desear y debe ser banqueado para asi jugar con solo dos puntas. Me parece que Eduardo Lopez a sido de lo mejor del equipo que esta jugando en la Copa MX y es tiempo que le den una oportunidad. Este equipo es muy predecible y necesita variantes. Muy cierto. También sentaría a Gio. Guero usándolo como contención no a funcionado. También Fierro, aunque tenga velocidad y juegue bien por la derecha, naturalmente es delantero. Si sí se usará ese 4-3-3, yo pondría a Bravo atrás de RML y Fierro. Gio a la banca y Chofis en su lugar. Ya cuando de recuperé Sánchez a el lo pondría de lateral en vez de Coronado y Vidrio ni lo convocaría a los 18. Pero bueno, al fin sabemos que nunca sentarían a De Nigris porque A) es de selección y B) le salió caro a don Vergui.
Estoy de acuerdo se me olvido Fierro....creo que emtonces dejaria a Castro como pivote y dejaria al Chofis y Gio como interiores para darle mejor toque en mediocampo.. y los 3 delanteros arriba
Gio no es medio centro el suele jugar mucho mejor por las bandas era de los muy pocos que intento hacer algo el partido pasado
Nunca lo había visto como contención hasta este planteamiento de Real. Siempre lo he visto por los costados. Sea como defensa lateral o volante ahí juega mejor.
En Sub 17 y Sub 20 Gio jugaba como enganche...siempre se miro bien jugando por el centro pero no como contencion...tecnicamente es uno de los mejores prospectos que tenemos
