Thanks guys! johnny gave me a great interview, as did the others. In fact I had to cut alot, I still feel like it was a bit long, but It is Johnny and wanted to do him justice.
And like Favre but with out the incriminating photos, Wilson is Back for another season! New faces, New Jersey and an Old Friend announced last night at the Battery 'meet and greet'
Still not retired, he accounted for 1 of 4 (5 total) goals scored by ex-United, or on-loan United players when Charleston played Richmond a week or so ago. http://www.chssoccer.net/john-wilsons-second-career/
Good article! After reading it, really makes me think...he was pretty nice at LB. He had skills...but it was unfortunate the events that led up to him being cut. He really did have a good techincal side to his game, and shouldn't have been cut back then IMO.
John did a great TEDx talk in Charleston about The Joy of Sports http://www.dcunited.com/news/2014/0...hn-wilson-leads-ted-talk-on-the-joy-of-sports
Absolutely wonderful. What a poised, articulate spokesman for what sports can bring to a kid if the joy of the game isn't drained out of them.
