Pfft..... just another Euro flop who looks good in Brazil. Like Pablo Guerrao, the Hamburg flop. Vargas is not even close to World Class, he was too limited to play in a league like Italy, where there weren't huge gaps for him to exploit with his pace. And where even the attacking players must do defensive work. Keep on telling yourself he is a top player. He's not even good enough for a team like Napoli, a team who is only just about among the top 20 teams in Europe.
The freddy adu thread has taken an interesting turn in the Yanks Abroad forum. Apparently Bahia is purposely not playing Freddy because they want to lower the final price when the day comes to sign him for real. If it wasnt for this, Freddy would be starting and impressing. Mengão86 lawsonishere
That is funny last I saw in that thread some guy was trying to correct you on a translation even after he said he doesn't know portugues lol.
They keep making the stupidest excuses why Adu is not playing. I have been hearing these stupid excuses for 5 years on these forums, but this one takes the cake. One guy years back said the reason the Greek coach was not playing Adu was because the coach purposefully wanted to loose the game before playing Adu. Can you believe that shit?
He kept trying to spin it in a way to make it sound like christovao was praising him and making it seem its only a matter of time. When in reality everytime a reporter asks about Freddy, he speaks in meaningless cliches to avoid saying the truth.
Adu has been a flop since his first day. He is very lucky to be on a Brazilian squad that has good contention in league ATM. Maybe if he went to Tahiti or India he might get some playing time but in Brazil it can be more difficult. It was a lame move on Bahia picking up a scab that was never progressive. Send him to the NASL farm league where he might get playing time.
According to the Tietes do Adu thread, he will start tomorow in the sul-americana. I'm bracing myself for wild speculations, over-reactions, and insane justifications no matter how he plays.
O time considerado titular iniciou a atividade com: Marcelo Lomba; Angulo, Rafael Donato, Demerson e Jussandro; Feijão, Diones, Talisca, Freddy Adu e Marquinhos (Fabrício Lusa); Obina.
People will spin the hell out of this. You're absolutely right, I just need to sit back and enjoy the comedy that will ensue with this one. But I guess this puts a dent in the theory that the only reason Freddy isnt playing is because the club wants to lower his potential transfer or buyout value, then swoop in for peanuts. Only for Freddy to turn into the next Seedorf for the 2014 campeonato.
@SoccerInsider Took awhile, but if reports from training are true Freddy Adu will get his first start with Bahia tomorrow.— Jose Sanez (@jas2781) August 27, 2013 Right now, @FreddyAdu is training as a starter for tomorrow's game vs. Portuguesa for South American Cup's second leg #USMNT— Ivan Dias Marques (@ivandmarques) August 27, 2013 @FreddyAdu I wish u play against Portugal tomorrow. Show your good football. No wonder you've been compared to Pele.— Petronio Moreira (@Petruxs32) August 27, 2013 Hard work pays off always. Will never stop working to achieve my dreams.— @FreddyAdu (@FreddyAdu) August 27, 2013 @FreddyAdu you need to play in England to be a better player #justsaying #barclayspremiership #bestleagueintheworld— Fade To Black (@Ty_Carter85) August 27, 2013 Twitter is gold.
Freddy Adu to be released from Brazilian club Bahia due to "technical deficiencies" http://t.co/1LZrbQyJx5— NBC Sports Soccer (@NBCSportsSoccer) November 7, 2013 LOL!!!
The director actually didn't say he lacked technical skills. He just said there were better players than him which is still bad. Lancenet just assumed that deemed him with "technical deficiencies." Hilarious headline nonetheless.
