I thought they deserved their own thread. Maybe we could move the last couple of posts from Spivack's thread to this one? They have been doing well in the cup games. In the last game against GBK Spivack had two goals and Eissele had an assist. In the most recent game against FF Jaro Eissele had two goals. Highlights from the game against Jaro. Eissele is #11 in red and Spivack is #7 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ZyFO1J9fvqQ
One of the 8 goals scored by Kemi hasn't been credited to anyone yet. But Eissele scored at least 4 and Spivack and Stevens one apiece. Edit: The last goal didn't go to one of the Yanks. Interestingly, both goals not scored by an American player were PKs.
Eissele scored the game winner in a 5-3 victory today. Spivack received a yellow card and was subbed off at the half.
All 3 Americans started and went the full 90. Eissele scored the 1st goal in today's 3-1 victory off a pk. Dan Stevens scored the 3rd goal in injury time to assure the win.
Christian Eissele accounted for all the Kemi goals today with a hat trick in the 3-1 victory. He and Spivack both went the full 90, while Stevens came on in the 57th minute. Kemi has been heavily scouting other students at RIASA after the success of Spivack and Eissele since their transfers. We might see more than 3 Yanks at this club next year.
Eissele won the golden boot as the top scorer in the Kekkonen this season. He had 20 goals in 24 league matches. He had 22 goals across all competitions. http://riasa.org/blog?hid=881
Not bad for a young guy. Here's a blog he's posted, though it hasn't been updated since last month. http://christianeissele.com/
Some nice finishing there. Pretty bold putting his e-mail & telephone number up on there ... Here's his Twitter: https://twitter.com/soccereissele UCF bio: http://www.ucfathletics.com/sports/m-soccer/mtt/eissele_christian00.html
PS Kemi signs another player with extensive US connections, though probably not a US citizen. Marvin Torvic was born in French Guiana and has played internationally for them, but lived in the US for many years - at least 4 years of high school in South Carolina and then played at Newberry College.
Eissele has wasted no time getting back into the swing of things since returning to Finland. He scored a goal and provided an assist as a sub in a friendly game. He also scored in the teams first Suomen Cup game. Kemi beat AC Kajaani 2-1. The club's website had a short article on Spivack returning. He arrived a few days after the friendly game and played in the cup game. I googled translated the article and it seems to say he added on some muscle mass and that "speed characteristics are favorable"
Google translate game report: "64 minutes into the game, Tyler Pasher rose from your laidaltaan bait ball and Tommy Horn Rapids, which reached the artificial feeding place "strayed" Christian Eisselen - Guaranteed results: 2-0! ... Only about five minutes later the Kings struck again, Tommi Siekkinen gorgeous drive returned crossbar and post through the airport directly to the spray gun Eisselen legs, which were easy to work was to deliver the ball to the finish." http://translate.google.com/transla...&hl=en&langpair=auto|en&tbb=1&ie=windows-1252
