interesting, would have rather seen him than Buddle any day.

my list of must caps for Jurgen keeps growing: Corona, John & Diskerud.

    Good article.

Hopefully, for the Costa Rica game. Though, I suppose that's obvious.

The reality is that, right now, he has a better chance with the Unted States than with Mexico, given the talent that Mexico has and will have coming up in the next few years.

I don't envy these dual-citizens. It's a tough call. But at the end of the day, it would seem like the best bet for him in terms of a longer national team career (not to mention the Olympics), is to play for the US.

Also, the staff Klinsmann puts together is pretty accomplished and most players would like to play for and learn from guys like Klinsmann, Thomas Dooley, Tab Ramos, Claudio Reyna and Martin Vasquez. That's not to suggest Mexico doesn't have plenty of coaches who were skilled players - they do - but the US can at least match that and, arguably, surpass it in terms of the coaches' pedigrees.

Good article, seems like a really good kid that you want to root for. Interesting how the coach talk about how his American upbringing helps his game. American work ethic with the Latino skill? I'll take it.

Say what you want about Bob, he was pretty aggresive in his capping of young player - especially those those that were dual nationals.

According to tweets, Corona was just called up to the Mexican U-22s to face Chile.

He may accept. If he does, he could be in a pool of talented midfielders for their side.

If he doesn't accept, he has a chance of going to our FULL team if Jurgen decides to call him for the same international date. Looks like the clock is ticking on young Joe Benny.

Mexican U-22s call up Joe Corona, will he accept?

Even if he accepts, he wouldn't be cap tied so it's not a big deal IMO.

Corona is being interviewed live on ESPNDeportes radio and he claims he's "extremely happy with being called up by Mexico since it's the team he's always supported"

For now, he will focus on Mexico and put aside any potential interest shown in him by the US or El Salvador.

If Juergen calls him up for the USNT on the same date, that would be awesomely interesting.

Corona, who was an unused sub last week, was back in the starting lineup today going 58 minutes in a 2-0 loss at home to Tecos.

In the five games since the Tecos game mentioned in my previous post Corona come off the bench, including yesterday when he entered in the 64th minute in a 1-1 road draw with Atlante. Club Tijuana are second from bottom in Mexico.

Also, according to an interview I read he is being used more as an attacking central midfielder lately instead of an outside midfielder.

The kid is calm and clinical in front of the goal. That bodes well for his future.

Joe Corona and Tijuana play against Torres and Pachuca on Friday. I'm expecting a good performance from a re-energized Joe Corona.

If you go, give us a detailed match report. I don't mean a tactical breakdown, but just the whole atmosphere experience etc
