I bought this one, some time ago, from Arsenal Direct. I had to buy it, because the one that I bought from Toffs, had a couple of autographs on the sleeves, and I plan to get it framed. The one from ArsenalDirect is almost the same quality, and is a great deal less expensive. Pretty much standard fit.....and no pointy sleeves thus far. The Toffs one is just as it used to be, back in my playing days, very thick material. The Arsenal Direct one, is slightly thinner, but both are far thicker than the type of material used since the '80's. Very robust, will last a long time, just dont use the dryer on high temp setting, and it will last you a very long time. Also.....It's only very cool gooners, that wear them..
Well worth the money...shows pride in the class and history of The Arsenal. Still haven't forgiven Charlie for scribbling all over my original one.
I bought one off ebay, obviously a fake but i'd rather get the name and patches for 30 bucks than spend 115 on something pretty similar.
Well said. When you really think about it...Of course you want legit, authentic stuff but this succinct post makes all the sense in the world. A couple years back I bought a couple of beater Arsenal jerseys from these Thai vendors. Just to work out in and what not. Lo and behold I was actually blown away by the quality of these shirts. Patches and back names included! Anyways just a thought but Im vouching these aren't glad bag fitting shirts of old. The false replicas in Thailand have really made their mark. EPL in Thailand is HUGE. I visited last year and was blown away by how accessible matches were there. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Arsenal-Hom...parel&var=&hash=item8265dbbf70#ht_3952wt_1156 http://www.ebay.com/sch/hotgoods2011/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562
I made the same decision years ago. Besides, I hate Nike, so no need to give them any money, either. Plus, who wants to wear a Fly Emirates logo?
Mine too and I have had just about every home top over the last decade without this happening... On another note - just got this in a large instead of buying a kit this year: Really like the fit and can wear it to work on Champions League days. I have a sneaking suspicion it is going to lose its shape in the wash - anyone have any issues? Planning on doing the old hang dry wash in cold... G17
Mine's still looking good after about 6 washes on cold, however, I've started laying it flat, on a bath towel after washing, rather than hanging to dry.....seems to keep the collar flatter. *Warning* If you have cat's, like I do, do not use the above method unless it is in a room they cannot get into....was very tempted to sell one of my cats, for medical experiments, when I got home and found that it had made a bed out of this one... Luckily, for the cat...there was was no damage.
Thinking about a RvP after this weekend. Somehow I can't get excited about pulling on my Fabregas shirt. Shame, that- I bought it on a great trip to London in 06 with a stadium tour.
So I believe this is the second year in a row that Arsenal have debuted a new Champions League-specific track jacket.
That electric blue jacket is great looking, but at a distance I'm afraid someone would mistake me for a supporter of another club. Needs a big-ass cannon on the back. I do like the different color variations they're offering: This one is proper Arsenal colors: And this one is just veering too close to Scum territory:

I got my AFC Retro shirt from the club shop today. Pretty sweet. It's got a nice thick feel to it and I love how the cannon is embroidered into it. And for 20 pounds it's a bit cheaper than an actual kit (and no sponsor!)
http://www.savile-rogue.com/ One of these is going to find its way underneath the Christmas tree this year!
I got the Arsenal one four or five years ago and really like it. I think I'd really like the deluxe ones that they've come out with recently that are longer and have a better shade of red.
