independiente is smart, they loaned him out so that he can get international experience and so that hopefully after copa America he will have his price tag escalate and it will be prime time to sell him, assuming he does well in Morelia Indep. will profit off this move.

To be quite honest, this kid never fully convinced me, he did have an awesome beggining of the year but I feel that his quality has slowly but consistently decreased. If he plays as well as he did the first half of our tournament he will do great In Mexico. I hope he does.

He just scored against America! He is playing good and working hard. Good week for the new Ecuadorians in Mexico. Suarez scored twice, Ayovi and Borja scored once, and Rojas has one with another half to go.

    lios falderos:

I saw the game that Morelia was playing vs Puebla. Morelia was struggling in the first half. In the second half the coach of Morelia decides to put Joao Rojas and the team started to pick up. Rojas started slicing through the left side doing what he knows best. Moving around with the ball, centering it, in one instance, he had an opportunity to score but missed. He improved Morelia's level of play. Morelia could not win the game. It ended in a 0-0.

Why is every goal these days a "Golazo"? I think that term has been way over exaggerated!! and no it wasn't a Golazo. It was due to a huge goalie mistake. No Mistake, No goal. a golazo?...UFFF

Just how good is Joao? hmmm I can't seem to make up my mind just yet... I haven't seen much of him really atleast not in his recent form... I want to know, can he defend? is he a midfielder? or a forward? Thats the problem he is sort've a "tweener" I think... we have quite a few of those... Even attacking midfielders these days have to be decent defenders and classical in their style of play.. Montero is a similar case he is too attack minded to be a midfielder, always looking to attack and push forward but he isn't prolific enough in attack and not a great finisher... That is a problem these players need to define their roles a little better... If they want to be midfielders they should improve their awareness and positioning... Midfielders are the "brains" in the team who conduct the flow of play.... Also of course know to defend all midfielders have to defend some.

With that said in a 4-5-1 these guys would be very useful(Joao, Montero, Arroyo) and more then likely that's what we will be playing most of the time(away games in WCQ and WC if we qualify). This is a reason for my apprehensiveness when it comes to our forward options.... It's unlikely that we can play Benitez as a lone forward so this leads to my confusion when it comes to our identity what exactly is our identity atm? are we a defensive counterattacking team with our attacking mids? are we an attack minded offensive team(4-4-2)? Sure at home we play attacking futbol but is this our REAL identity? meaning outside of Quito will we play like this? This is why I don't fancy Benitez much he has no role in a 4-5-1 since we have better options as attacking mids, only as a supporting forward is he viable.
