Maria E. Chavarro @negrachavarro @tiagoaristi Colega no esta en Chelsea le negaron Visa debe esperar hasta los 18, regreso a Cali y entrena con la Sub 17
Yeah he went back to Deportivo de Cali. As far as I heard, he might have had signed for Chelsea but will stay at Cali on loan.

He attended our u21 team camp in US, trained with them & played a game or 2 probably. Will continue to do so till 18 at least when cross continental transfer of minors become legal. Won't be going to Europe soon, not before 18 at least.
I really don't understand why Quindio doesn't use him. Their squad his that strong that the guy doesn't have a place there??
I find it stupid that he has to be 18 when you see European players being able to play there at age 16/17...
FIFA rule. Cross-continental transfer of minors are prohibited(only exceptions are probably the Spanish duo).
Why would it be hypocrite? I don't know weather it will be very effective, but the idea behind the rule is pretty much ok. Since a few years clubs have to pay a 'training fee' for youngsters to the club that raised them. So what did the clubs do? They have started buying players at a younger and younger age. Look at Januzaj at ManU for example. ManU went after him while he was only 16 and playing for Anderlecht, and he was already quite 'old'. If we take Anderlecht: they built a state of the art youth center which already produced a number of international stars (Kompany, Lukaku), and keeps doing so massively (Januzaj, the Musonda brothers, younger Lukaku, Henen, Tielemans, Bosschaerts, Antonucci, Bruno...). What happens now is that the big clubs (mostly the English) come to scout at a younger and younger age. Henen is already out on loan to Monaco, Januzaj went to ManU, Bosschaerts is at ManC, the Musonda brothers at Chelsea (while only the youngest one has the real potential)... Just last week Barcelona contracted Zico Marecaldi, a 9 (!)-year old boy from Sweden. It's not about the kids anymore, or the fun of playing football. It has become a form of human traficking. Within Europe there's not much that can be done against this practices. In the European Union there's liberty of labour: every man is free to work in any country of the EU. The originial idea of this law lies outside of football and is good, but within the football environment it was often an excuse for human traficking. Internationally it's different. There are no EU-laws. And taking young kids out of their familiar environment and dropping them in a different climate, culture, whatever... is just not ok. Still, European clubs try to bend the rules a bit. There was a case in France with an Argentinian boy if I'm not mistaken. He had to wait until he was 18 before he could play. In Belgium the same happened with a Colombian boy. Oswal Alvarez is playing for Anderlecht, signed when he was 16, but had to wait until he was 18 to sign his contract. He's currently injured, but could play for the youth teams of Anderlecht last year, competing in the NextGen competition, and winning the highly rated Viareggio tournament. How do those clubs bend the rules? By providing jobs to their families. They don't buy the players, they buy the families, simple as that. For me it's not acting as hypocrites, it's just common sense...
Hoy será el primer día que Mancini me cae bien. Que lindo es ver sufrir a los detestables juventinos.
