What a weird poll. It doesn't really answer anything and is open to interpretation since it's not binary.

For example, that poll can be interpreted to mean that over half the people who participated in that poll preferred he did anything but go to Sunderland.

What a special squad they had during that stretch! Imagine if they kept them together for another season or two?

those were the days and if Ji makes the wiser to choice to play for PSV, then he'll have the chance to experience what both PJS and LYP went through at PSV, Eredivisie title, UCL, then land at a top club elsewhere.

I hope he doesn't make a dumb decision and go to Sunderland just cuz its premier league. I'm getting sh!t on facebook for denouncing liverpool and sunderland for JDW..

Go to PSV and then shoot big! The atmosphere is awesome.

Somewhat jealous that Ryo Miyaichi is improving a lot at Feyenord. I have a feeling he will climb the pecking order at Arsenal in like 2 or 3 years.

The really interesting question here should be how much influence pjs's advice will be in all of this because I can almost guarantee ji has asked pjs for his opinion. That's the story some beat reporter needs to jump on.

yeah i would definitely read that. PJS should be like Pele/Maradona LOL. Give advice to our younger players. PJS kind words helped KSY out when he was on the bench. Look at him now. Scores goals and hops around like a bunny.

I don't think he has. PJS basically said during the press conference when word first leaked that Sunderland was interested in JDW that he shouldn't even hesitate and just pack his bags and leave. Don't even look back for one second is what PJS told reporters.

[Edit - I see Jitevra has already posted the story that I was referring to]

I think who he should listen to is Jung Hae Sung. His manager is a wise man. He's probably going to be the next KNT manager after CKR. And he's always treated JDW like his son. Jung Hae Sung really holds JDW's best interest at heart. This is the person JDW needs to listen to imo.

JI DONG WON IS BETTER ADMIT IT NAO!!! :D
He'll improve even more and follow HIDDINK!! :) to chelsea in 2-3 years and beat the sh!t out of arsenal and ooh! Jung Sung Ryong will be with him ;) and Ji will become premier league top scorer while Son will be Bundesliga's top scorer (this season, it's gonna happen!) and Jung Sung Ryong will go humiliate arsenal by scoring from his own goalbox thing again, and maybe deck Miyaichi will a superb slide while he's at it? Nahhh jk ..

PJS: Don't look back and leave for PSV!
    Do it.

Yeah but was wondering if that changed when psv became part of the picture. Guess not which is a tad shocking. Park has a wealth of experience as to what he'll experience so I'm surpirised park is so jumpy.

More like 6-12 months imo. I think he should go out on loan until the winter transfer window. But he might already be a better option for Wenger than Walcott right now if AW brings him into England. He was fantastic each time I saw him and really changed things around for Feyernoord.

He loses the ball quite often and his full sprint is not that fast. He has some crazy acceleration which is what he uses to beat most defenders. It'll take like a year at least to learn his limits. There are times when he gets past like 2 defenders and then gets dispossessed because he runs into 2 other defenders.
His vision has improved significantly but he sometime freezes up and gets easily dispossessed like i illustrated. At the moment he's like 1/4 Ronaldinho or 1/3 Robinho. After a year maybe be like 1/2 of Ronaldinho or 2/3 Robinho.

I see your point. And I'm curious to see if Wenger does send him out on loan in Holland once more or bring him into London. Either way, it's a win-win situation for the player.

And I'm still extremely impressed by the kid. He went from being an amateur high school student to play professionally in Holland (as the best player in the squad arguably) during the middle of the season. He's going to have a big future imo. Which is all the more reason we need our young players like Ji Dong Won to develop properly.

Ji's lackluster performance on yesterday's U23 qualifier against Jordan leads me to think that it will be some time before he can start and have a serious impact, no matter which team he ends up with.

I wouldn't put too much stock in yesterday's Olympic team match using our B-/C+ U23 squad. That match said more about Hong MB's naivete and shortcomings as a coach than JDW's readiness to go to Europe. Until the second half, Hong MB screwed up his formation and tactics so badly that JDW had to drop back deeply and play virtually as a central midfield playmaker for most of the first half. Everyone looked terrible in that terrible 1st leg win.

There's no deadline. And right now, he's on a flight to dubai, en route to jordan for the match on wed. What's the rush? We're not going to hear anything until at least the end of this week.
