Any significance in moving from 17 to 21?

    I'm on SAFC.com now. JDW is still 17. Wickham, 10. Campbell, 9.

I'm fine with Wickham getting the 10 and Ji staying at 17. If I were a KPA kit collector and Ji had his number changed after a season of me buying one, I'd be ticked. Besides, I do think Ji is ahead of Wickham in striker pecking order; but I don't know about Campbell. I know for sure he is behind Saha.

Given that it was saha, I would have been surprised if he just sat still there. Not sure what it means for JDW, but it wasn't clear even before.

they signed him, saw it on sky sports news on fsc yesterday. it was bound to happen...they have no clear cut strikers at the top. It's up to our boy to make his claim this season.

Sunderland set on Adam Johnson from ManC for 11 mil. Hes a winger.

He's more of a forward than a winger. If Sunderland get Fletcher, then it's probably time for JDW to go out on loan.

I think the fletcher or similar deal will happen (I presume hes got the bucks for the deal leftover). I hope the latter happens.

Not really. For me at least. They've already chnaged kit design and sponsor for this year, so wouldn't have been a big deal.

i believe loans may be made outside the transfer window. and i dont see Ji getting loaned out before january and thats only if he proves to be surplus or ineffective

the club just went all the way to korea this summer i doubt they will let their cash cow go out. he will likely be the 2nd or 3rd option. what sunderland need though is a striker like Berba cause playing Sessegnon who is only like 170cm at CF is not gonna work.

Is JDW really their cash cow? Never once in Seoul have I seen a Sunderland shirt, and wasn't the Peace Cup match in Korea very poorly attended?

If you're talking about Sunderland's matches, it's probably because Ji Dong Won wasn't there and was with the Olympic team. In any case, if JDW plays regularly and puts in a couple of goals, I'd expect some shirts to be sold.

And if he's going to be used sparingly (which is becoming increasingly likely) I would want him to get loaned, but I think Wickham will be getting loaned in that case.

I agree. JDW brought in that one week about 95% of the monies one might expect JDW to produce for the club.
