Yeah, I just read about it on a Hammarby forum where someone had found the tweet. They also found that he had written on his Facebook that he has trials planned with more then one club in Sweden (I can't confirm that though, since I don't use Facebook).

Looks like he's stayed in and around Atlanta. He played for the now defunct Atlanta Silverbacks U23 in the PDL back in 2008. A wiki article on the team said he had 9 assists http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta_Silverbacks_U23's

This article says he played in a friendly with the new Atlanta Silverbacks in the NASL against a mexican team http://www.examiner.com/silverbacks...acks-irapuato-fc-0-1-blanco-lasted-55-minutes

There are some highlights up on youtube from his college days. In and out of the game for 2 years and now a trial with KC and Hammarby, not bad.

Did another google search and can't find any recent info except for the article about the Silverbacks game I posted above which was from October.

Some clips on youtube seem to be from his college days. Anymore word from Sweden?

An article said that Scanella has arrived today, the director of sports commented:

"He paid for his own plane ticket and is here to showcase himself. We've heard a couple of interesting things about him from the US, but we haven't scouted him. He's a left midfielder. We don't close any doors for anyone, players can come from all directions. From below, from abroad or from Sweden. We exclude noone."

A report from yesterdays training mentioned that Scannella has now left the club after Hammarby signed another midfielder.

He'd be a teammate of Kyle Kaveny I believe.
