What about JEF United...? Did they have the club's name as well at a certain point, or is my memory tricking me...?

I think the JEF uniforms with "JEF United" on the front were just the supporters' shirts... pretty sure JEF never got rid of JREast/Sega shirt logos, in that time.

That makes sense. I remembered I have a hologram card in my wallet given as a present at a Sanfrecce game, celebrating the J-League anniversary I think. It has a photo from 1994 on the front, 1994/6/11 Jubilo Iwata vs Sanfrecce. It's a team photo with the starting 11, and they are wearing white away shirts with purple shorts and white socks, and the shirts have the same coloured shape pattern as the home shirt there. The sponsor is Ford and the squad numbers are on the lower left side of the shirt. I can photograph and upload it if anyone wants.

That was the game that gave Sanfrecce the title. I watched it live and taped it with a VCR I had found in the ohgata gomi. The rendition I put online a few weeks (months?) ago. Yes they were Ford, back in the day, but I must say I never saw a "Ford" uniform for sale, I must say...

That's because Japanese know better than to buy a Ford.

Are there websites that sell and send jerseys to Europeans (Belgium to be more precise) for an affordable price? For the moment 4.000 Yen is the maximum price I'm willing to spend on a jersey (excluding shipping costs) but so far I haven't found what I'm searching for.
Either it's all in Japanese, or it doesn't sell J-League jerseys.

I am afraid the only place you can find a uniform for that price is yahoo Auctions, that is all in Japanese...

The "road" price for a J.League used uniform in decent conditions, anyway is more like 5,000-8,000 yen.

Around 4,000 you can find season's leftovers (usually Marinos and Reds) or he infamous Made in Thai copies.

eBay is probably your best bet, but it doesn't have a lot, and not very often, either.

There are also quite a few places that will help you with buying Yahoo Auctions products from an overseas location, so check them out, if you find something you like.

I got a wonderfully ugly old Reysol... Now the hunt is on for Frontale, but I have never seen one for less than 6,000-7,000 :(

A few things I have noticed:

1 - Goalies unis are cheap

2 - Away unis are cheap (because they're mostly ugly white shirts with a sponsor on it)

3 - Unis with signatures are cheap if not from very famous players

4 - Unis with even minimal damage are extremely cheap and the best bet for us stingy collectors.

And why would be this wonderful Antlers 93-94 be only 1800 yen....?
I can only assume that most do not know that in that period they had the word "Antlers" on the uni and not TOSTEM, thus the seller thinks is a "fans" uniform...?

Anybody knows if this was an original jersey, meaning that players wore this in games...? Thanks.

    pretty sure it wasn't.

Goru, take a look at this gallery for reference, it's got pictures of almost all of the kits the Red Diamonds wore back in the days.

I don't remember it either, but it looks as an original Mizuno, thus I had doubts. Perhaps it is a pre-J.League model...?
    Thanks for the link, anyway.

    I have a feeling that it's a fan t-shirt, not a sports jersey.

I'm pretty sure I've already seen that template with a different team logo and the colors swapped around.

It's most likely some generic miscellaneous shirt which belongs to the merchandise line released back then when the league was born.

btw, it couldn't be a pre-J.League era top either because the badge doesn't match the ones used back then (1st/2nd and 3nd one from the left in the picture).

Does anybody know why ALL old (black & white) Vissel Kobe uniforms have the number 12...? I have probably seen about 15-20 used one in shops and online, and they ALL have #12...

(mind you: I KNOW that #12 is the "sapo" number, but I am wondering... did they produced ONLY unis with #12...?)

This is the new emblem of Japan :

It'll be on the new shirt that the JFA will reveal in November, the ninth. The next three games will feature the actual shirt for the last time, goodbye, I liked it ...

Not bad. Unsure if I like it over the current one, but it might grow on me.

With such a change, do you think we'll see a similar change to the NT shirts? Perhaps they'll revert back to the way they were, decades ago... even if it could confuse the team with North Korea.

The same thing happened with England's new kit a few months ago. There were suspicions that they deliberately leaked the rumour (and photo) to test reactions.

Given that it's on a white fabric rather than blue I think it very well could be. And thousands of fans will be pissed that they have to buy new unis instead of wearing past generic blue kits. And Adidas will rejoice.

    Looking forward to it!
