Hard to say from the pre-season friendlies. Pogoń played four games, he started in three if I remember that well. The first team isn't crystallized yet as it's still a month before the league start. But yeah, there's high probability that he'll be a starter I'd say. But you'll never know until the first game
Thx, it's just hard to get info... but it's not like they buy a new first eleven it seems from what you tell.
I understand that it's pretty hard to find info in any other language than Polish about the newly promoted team Actually, they reduced the squad this year to normal size and got a new sponsor. Anyway, they played another sparing today and won 2:0. The coach changed almost the whole team in the halftime and Akahoshi played in the second half. He noted an assist and a crucial pass for the second goal. Pretty good I'd say.
Too lazy to post in each individual thread so here are the ties for Japanese players in the Europa League. Vaslui vs Inter (Nagatomo) Slask Wroclaw vs Hannover (H. Sakai) AIK vs CSKA Moscow (Honda) Stuttgart vs Dynamo Moscow (Okazaki, G. Sakai) Don't forget that Bayer Leverkusen are also in this competition. That makes 9 Japanese players in the Europa League this season (Vitesse lost last round and Skonto lost the round before). Definitely the most ever which will make it interesting to watch this season. Also BM will play Dynamo Kiev in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers. There are 4 Japanese players in the Champions League this season (Kagawa, Uchida, Otsu, and Miyaichi)
well Miyaichi and Otsu will probably be loaned Also Borussia M. is still to qualify for CL As are the above teams for Europa League
Let the rumours begin now. I expect at least 1 player from the Olympic team to go to Europe. And Yoshida have played himself to a better club I am sure. EPL would be fantastic.
Indeed, this is ridiculous. I mean it's like you have to explain to everybody the basic rules of the game 1. a player needs to do a preseason with his team to start playing with the team from the get go 2. a player which was injured or seriously lacked match fitness will not play immediately upon return to the club. It will take some time to get him match fit and integrated back within a team 3. Players who are in discussion with other clubs regarding transfers/loans will usually be omitted from the match squad 4. Players who just transfered/ were loaned to a club will take time to be integrated and familiarized with the tactics and concepts of the new team and its coach and will usually not play for several matches 5. Sometimes players get omitted from the starting line up because of a team rotation 6. Sometimes players get omitted from the starting line up because of a rest 7. Sometimes players get omitted from the starting line up because of tactical reasons 8. Sometimes players get omitted from the starting line up because they are not deemed match fit 9. Players being substituted at any point of the match may not mean their coach hates them but could mean he wants to a) rest them b) give a chance to someone else c) protect them d) tactical reasons 10. When a player is no allowed to leave a club unless certain transfer fee is met that does not mean that club wants to ruin a certain player, but rather that they value him so much, they would want to be properly compensated for losing him 11. When there are no transfer offers for a player, it does not mean that player sucks but could be that the requested transfer fee is too high, clubs dont have money for him or have position covered for the moment or that there are also other players of similar quality who are cheaper or better suited for X club 12. finally when a player does not score a goal or has assisted for one that does not mean he played like crap and if vice versa he did score or assisted it does not necessarily mean he played great
Just want to lighten the mood a little bit for you guys. Escudero scored his 3rd goal for FC Seoul last week. He is a starting XI now. For a guy who has a really bulk body he has good ball movement. (0:52)
Question: what about Daisuke Matsui? Dijon ruined him and he didn't find a squad, right? Because i can't find any news about him.
They didn't buy him, they signed him for free back then. He's a free agent now, and he didn't play for a while. It wouldn't surprise me if he had no offers at all.
http://www.pfcslavia.com/pages.aspx?id=629 Matsui to Slavia Sofia, official. Hum. He likes taking the hard way ...
It seems he'll play alongside another Japanese, Taisuke Akiyoshi: edit: correct link http://www.pfcslavia.com/playerdetails.aspx?id=228
