Re: Club Football Highlights [R] The first one is a sissy penalty. Okazaki gets the ball and turns into Mizumoto. What in the world could have Mizumoto do? He's trying to get to the ball, but makes absolutely no foul with the feet/legs. It ends with a hug, after Okazaki is going down already. If getting a penalty would be so easy... Anyway the point is there are errors pro and against. This year we for example beat Vegalta with an offside goal, and Marquinos was spared a clear red card against us. It goes both ways. Usually... But here is different: this is the same referee who two years ago sent off three of our players (all by making huge mistakes), and in this game he gave two VERY dubious penalties, and sent off Nakayama again after a very uncertain call. All in 20 minutes... He then gave another invented free-kick on which S-Pulse scored again. Now before he started we were winning 2-0, and it ended 2-4... What should I think...??
Re: Club Football Highlights [R] To me, it looks like Okazaki emphasises the contact in the first penalty also. It takes some conscious effort to fall horizontally from a nearly standing start, people just don't fall that way naturally. It's no worse than Hisato or any other J League striker gets up to though so I don't necessarily blame him for that one. A non-decision from the referee would have been much more sensible. Two dodgy penalties in the same match though goes beyond that grey area.
Re: Club Football Highlights [R] What I see is Okazaki use his skill with the ball at his feet to cause Mizumoto to go off balance... first right, then left... as Okazaki pushes it forward to take it past him, Mizumoto practically falls on top of the ball and takes out Okazaki in the process. To me, that looks like a penalty, whether he emphasized the contact or not. The second one was obvious. Not even Tamada dives that badly. I can't comment on the ref because I only see these highlights, but considering both you and Shizuoka had nothing good to say about him... I think you've got a point there.

I agree that he falls easily ... But he knew how to trick the referee and I wouldn't blame this poor man, the players are always the first guilties !
