I’m disappointed in Levy’s seeming inability to adjust his tactics. Being a hard nosed so-and-so is all good and well when you’re selling, or when you’re buying from a position of strength (e.g. VdV), but when targeting players you are in desperate need of, especially ones with third party ownership it’s just silly. More so that there doesn’t appear to be a credible back-up plan. No disrespect to Dembele or Dempsey, but the drop off in quality between those two and Damiao & Moutinho are is significant.

I’m really not sure how you can claim aspirations of Champions League football when you have only two strikers on the books. Oh well the life of a Spurs fan. Nothing left to do but watch late-season fatigue set in and slide down the table.

If Holtby is our only signing, then we have a problem.

Chelsea away, and a striker in the January Transfer Window- our last remaining hoodoos.

    Absolutely nothing :(

...makes me wonder if our Europe spot wasn't stolen by Chelsea how different our transfer windows would've been

Count me as one that didn't think this was a terrible transfer window. Got in an impact player in Holtby and loaned out some mothballed players to other teams.

Not that important, but with Gomes and Cudicini gone, who is the third-choice goalkeeper now?

Doubt we need 1 since Friedel never gets injured in his career.

This was the highlight of our deadline day.
(Although saving at least 100 grand/ week off our wage bill was not horrible either)

I got quite a good laugh from Jenas trying to stroll into QPR and being locked out.

I think we did well by getting Holtby for practically nothing and I think that is what we need as he can deliver that killer ball forward. To be honest I'm not to upset, but Defoe has to start scoring again and the tactics have got to get better as Bale can't just run around the pitch like he is our playmaker. We need him to create space down the left side which happens to open up the rest of the pitch for others. We just need our strikers to start scoring again. I hope Ade comes back from the African Nations Cup with a fire lit under his ass.

We have a very solid squad, but I wish we had Sandro who was on great form.

The peter o. show was absolutely hilarious today as he drove down there without getting the nod from West Brom. He even looked like... What the ******** am I doing here.

Reading say they bid £10 million for Sigurdsson, but we didn't accept/ ran out of time.

yea that was pretty obvious to me, we needed another bloody striker.

I was listening to TalkSport on my way to work and the general consensus was that Spurs might have lost top 4 by not signing a striker yesterday. I agree with them, not that we won't but it might come back to bite us

I have to agree as well. Last season third place was there for the taking, but the squad burned out due to lack of depth.

I still think 3rd and possibly even 2nd are well within our reach. But not having another striker has f*ed us hard, we had NO other options against Norwich with Defoe in. The announcers kept saying over and over again that Ade would be perfect to come off the bench for that situation. But we couldn't even put any other striker in. Losing Crouch and Pavy I think were dumb decision in retrospect, shouldve kept 1 until we had a replacement.

Lol they probably did it at 10:59:59 GMT in which case we should've bid for the entire Barcelona team.

I just found this tidbit on Wikipedia... cracked me up:

[Jermaine Jenas'] father was born with the surname Genas, but had it changed by deed-poll as he wanted the initials "D.J.".

That looks suspiciously like the kind of thing that could be on Wikipedia, yet not be true (even though Wikipedia is often a very good source, surprisingly).
