Ok with January fast approaching this thread becomes necessary. Ali Al Habsi re-signs for a four year deal meaning it will take a massive bid to pry him away. I feel this is great news. Daily Mirror is linking us with Ryan Taylor of Wigan.
Today's papers link us with none other than Calum Davenport (West Ham). Nicky Hunt has also returned from his loan spell at Birmingham to help make up the numbers in defense.
Sebastien Puygrenier has been signed on loan from Zenit St. Petersburg. 26 year old French defender that was in the side that beat Man U in the Super Cup back in August.
Glad we got him rather than Davenport, because Davenport is terrible. Now let's get some sort of 'creative' midfielder and let that be that. (Megson please don't even bother think that Denilson is this player.. you are not Sam Allardyce and Denilson is not another Okocha/Djorkaeff.)
Denilson would be a waste of space on high wages IMO. I'm glad our bid for Barton has been rejected, I don't want that twat anywhere near my club. I wouldn't mind seeing another striker coming in TBH, Davies just isn't doing it this season.
Nice to see you guys again. Denilson looked totally out of place, for all the wrong reasons, in the States.
We have taken Benfica Striker Ariza Makukula on loan. I know nothing about him so I will consult Wikipedia.
He was worth a trial if only to prove that he was useless. He's not taken the news of his rejection too well apparently
I imagine you have already heard this Prenn. But apparently the reason why we only had 4 subs in the Arsenal game was because Megson was trying to get more transfer money out of the board, and which is why he constantly whines about having the smallest squad in premier league history. However it doesn't look like it's worked since we are only looking at loan signings.
Yeah, I heard that when the team was announced. I don't mind bringing players in on loan because I don't think we could do any better if we splashed the cash, we may as well save it for the summer.
You are apparently signing Mark Davies from Wolves for 650K. He was on loan at Leicester but was nowhere to be seen today.
Veloso is a midfielder, but there is no chance he would come to Bolton given that he is one of Portugal's stars for the future, and not Vaz Te style.
