Full match 'preview' and TEAM NEWS by GOAL; Villarreal Javi Venta is still out with an ankle injury, while Joseba Llorente is suspended after being sent off against Sevilla. Pascal Cygan, Jozy Altidore and Edmilson have been rested. Probable Starting XI: Diego López, Ángel, Capdevila, Gonzalo, Godín, Eguren, Senna, Cazorla, Pirès, Nihat, Rossi Barcelona Gaby Milito is definitely out. Rafa Márquez has spent all week training to recover from a hamstring strain while Andrés Iniesta was also back after recovering from his injury. Probable Starting XI: Valdés, Alves, Abidal, Puyol, Piqué, Touré, Busquets, Xavi, Messi, Henry, Eto'o PREDICTION A week off will have done Barcelona no harm at all after so many midweek games in recent months, and Villarreal could well feel the full effects of a rested Blaugrana side. Pellegrini has been shrewd against Barça in the past at El Madrigal, but Guardiola is also proving to be a very adept tactician and will be looking at ways to counteract the hosts' stifling tactics in midfield. Villarreal 1 - 2 Barcelona
Word. That guy sucks. A lanky, stumbling, off-pace, bad passing, waste of space. I gave the guy the benefit of the doubt last year. But this year, he's clearly not on the same page...or speed, as the rest of the players. Busquets in his few chances as a sub for the A team, has run circles around Gudjohnson.
Oh men do i agree, I wanted guddy to do well, i was rooting for him, he is a likable gu but Busquets is really good, and man he has earned a spot for this game, specially after how he was one of the game changers last week.
Guddy was OK in the first half last week, but pretty dreadful in the second. But he always seems a bit off the pace - i don't think his football brain works as quickly as it needs to to play in this team.
Last lineup for 2008! Lineup from Radio Catalunya... Valdés D.Alves -- Piqué -- Puyol -- Abidal S.Busquets Xavi -- Keita Messi -- Eto'o -- Henry
Does anyone have a link? My GOLTV isn't working AGAIN. I am SO mad right now, the same thing happened last week and I missed the Real Madrid game! So I barely watched the game yesterday on replay, and now today it started acting up again. This is bullsh!t!!! Ugh. Gimme link, now please.
Messi has barely touched the ball in 25 minutes. Eto'o the same. Damn what a rocket by Busquets. Almost.
YAYA has to come on for Keita and Hleb would be good for this type of match where you play in small spaces...
