By some manner of tear in space-time continuum, it is the 11th week of Ligue 1! And maybe since we are in an alternate dimension, maybe OL can get a win at home for a change :). All negativity aside, this should be an easy job to brush aside Boulogne at home, who are second last, and have lost 6 of their last seven games. They have 1 win and 1 draw away from home all season. According to Puel they guys are lacking confidence right now, and understandably so. They're gonna have to go into this game like they were playing any of the top sides to secure victory. Anything less than victory and it would be safe to say that Puel will have lost the locker room and the season derailed. That won't happen though.

    2-0 OL

    Allez L'OL

i finally sussed out what's putting the whammy on us: it's herbman predicting 2-0 for every match!

    so i'll say 4-0.

gomis finds the net twice, delgado once... and J2M scores off a corner.

The movement in the attacking third has looked real good so far. Much better movement.

Sigh...maybe it is me...Have looked dangerous in the game, but have failed to score still. Don't know why the ball wont get into the net. We need better shot at goal. Puel should try to push this game, Boulogne isn't doing much. Throw out an extra striker.

And It's Pjanic!! Only five more to go! A bit of luck there as Bastos' botched volley lands right in from Pjanic and he coolly slots it home in front of the 18. Add to the bit of luck as Boulogne just had a goal disallowed that was incorrectly blown for offsides.

And it's 2-0 from Delgado! He had to make up for that perfect scoring op he botched up just a minute before. Nice pass from Tafer. Lloris came up big with a brillant save on a breakway by Boulogne.

Haha. 2-0 afterall. Not sure if it was the 4-0 or 6-0 prediction that clinched it but from now on, whatever you think the score will be you should multiply it by 3 to be safe.

i didnt get to follow this match at all but judging from the eurosport commentary it wasnt a great game from Lyon. With that disallowed goal from Boulogne and the lack of attack in the first half it seems that Lyon are still struggling.

Gomis was booed by the crowd at Gerland and the team itself was whistled for its performance in the first half. Are the Lyon fans getting ugly?

Too used to success it seems. Yea the performance wasn't great, but we scored 2 goals and got the 3 points. We should be happy for that. It was kinda of like watching the national team play out there, it was strange. Plenty of possesions and chances to score, but almost being undone by one counter.

well alot people have begun comparing Puel to Domenech in terms of tactics. Could also explain Lyon success rate as of late.

But just like that we are in fourth place. It's looking alot better than it did a few days ago. There is only a four pt gap between 2nd and 7th, I'll be surprised if the teams around us will be able to keep this up.

my son got a last minute invitation from a friend (monday when i asked if he wanted to go he had "too much homework" funny how 15 year olds are) and had excruciatingly good seats (JJ sup K)

according to him OL took time to get clicking, and never found any real opening in the first half. boulogne wasn't a real danger but accidents happen, and boumong and gonalons were absolutely on their own at the back.

the second half was much different, but he was worried to see so much outside shooting when boulogne really seemed on the ropes. but in the last half hour they could barely run anymore and were lucky to escape with only two goals. even the lucky strike wouldn't have changed anything.

but gerland was furious, they even booed the players off the field after a 2-0 victory!

I guess the Gerland crowd just expect more. Theyve been treated to 7 years of beautiful attacking football and now they have to settle for a scrappy win against a newly promoted side.

I saw the goals, and they looked like they were scored by accident.

I haven't had the the patience to watch the entire match yet.
