hard telling at this point. have to replace konstanski in the back. didn't lose anyone in the midfield and added mares. have to replace eriq up top. and obviously luis won't be in the goal.

i wonder if they can move lax back to cb to fill konstanski's place alongside bradford. in the midfield, you could have bushue sitting deep with corrado and mares ahead of him and kotlov and petts out wide. put femi up top?

Sounds good..........whatever the lineup, we will need to play differently than in past seasons, as we will not have the "post 9" up front we have had in Bruin and Zavaleta.........will need to utilize through balls to Femi and Nikita ( and Mares) more......

I think his full name is Oluwafemi Hollinger-Janzen. Or something like that. Really nice kid, will be a sophomore this fall.

Anyone have any ideas if/who is transferring away from the team? Always seems to happen and is very hush hush, for political or academic reasons. I have a bad feeling that Andrew Oliver will be leaving, but hope he stays, he's a nice kid, just faced a tough time in his first season. If it helps him at all, Kotlov had to go through the same thing as a freshman, and he absolutely exploded last season even more than as a sophomore. Dude is lightning on a soccer field.

Do you think Petts will excel this year in central midfield?

You men the Petts who was instrumental in his team's ascendency to the National Championship in 2012? I thought he was pretty d@rn excellent last year.

I didn't get to watch any games with him at CM, so I didn't know how well he did. Thanks for the update!

he's been solid where ever they put him, but who knows if there will be room for him in the middle next season. i don't have any idea what kind of shape we're going to be looking at next season though. we have 6 very high-caliber midfielders coming back. lax, bushue, corrado, petts, kotlov, and mares.

we drew 1-1 with slu last night. did anyone see how we lined up?

    slu recap: http://www.iuhoosiers.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/032513aaa.html

"Redshirt freshman Michael Soderlund got the start in goal, with a back line of junior Jamie Vollmer, sophomore Kerel Bradford, junior Jacob Bushue and junior Matt McKain in front of him. Sophomore Dylan Lax sat in front of the back line, with he and freshman Tanner Thompson behind sophomore Dylan Mares in the midfield. Junior A.J. Corrado played wide left, with freshman Femi Hollinger-Janzen wide right. Junior Nikita Kotlov held the attacking position up top."

    no mention of petts...

iu down 1-2 to lindsey wilson with a few minutes to play. maybe there's a more important game tonight the guys are worried about? starters were soderlund, doody, bushue, bradford, mckain, lax, thompson, vollmer, PETTS, femi, and mares. no mention of oliver. all this info is per @glasswgcl.

Interesting move by Yeagley to put Bushue and Bradford, both DM's in Central defense. Taking the Barcelona model it seems.

IU obviously has to find a replacement for the 18 goals scored by Zavaleta last season. Nikita should scores come, Corrado too, not sure why they didn't start. Also, Lindsey Wilson, as NAIA, has some guys who have played semi-pro or have murky backgrounds in terms of their collegiate status. So that that for what its worth.

And yea, looks like my suspicions about Oliver were correct. Would be his 5th school in 5 years (Counting high school) if he leaves.
