I don't even have time to go out!!! I see the response, and am not reading yet, and just having a blast. Do it again! Again!
http://skorer.milliyet.com.tr/g-sar...ena-da-/galatasaray/detay/1634187/default.htm Adu spotting. Google translate unclear as usual. Galatasaray's new transfer Arena! Yellow-red team's last match played in the stands Balikesirspor had a new name. November 28, 2012 Galatasaray, the 23-year-old actress will join the team idmanlarda will try and beğenilirse Freddy Adu watched the match Turk Telekom Arena last night.
So, is Adu being called and "actress" or is Galatasaray using an actress to lure Adu to the club? It could go either way...
My favorite team is where ever Freddy is and it's not the MLS. I hate the MLS. That's not real soccer. That's rec league soccer with really athletic men.
the MLS seems to be getting better though. Freddy adu hasn't flourished there in his second stint, but it's because he's still suffering the same problems he's always had (and imo not because of how the MLS plays). His problem has always been consistency, and playing within himself. The second part isn't as bad, but still too many times he's tries to do the amazing, when sometimes the opportunity he gets to beat the defense could involve something much simpler. I don't know if i buy the whole "effort" part, when I've watched him he seemed to trackback okay, he could work a bit harder on defense but honestly i don't think it's as big of a problem as people indicate. And if i wanted to play adu, I would put him as far up as i can and have him play a purely offensive/creator role. either as a SS, a CAM (based on how the formation is set-up), and honestly he hasn't been bad as a winger from what i've seen, though he doesn't really fit my ideal mold for a winger. Adu's biggest issue is consistency. If he ever played consistently well, he could be a very good player. In any arbitrary game he can be the best player on the field, however at the same time in any given game he can become completely invisible or even a detriment to the attack. It's a frustrating thing, and i hope he figures it out because he could be a great addition to the NT if that happens.
Oh I wouldn't call it that. There's a lot of tactics behind the current MLS play and some smart ball movement. However, you would be correct in that ball movement in MLS is based nearly exclusively on quick passes and all players regardless of position are required to press. This is not much of a dribbling and penetrating pass league.
They intent to play the game at a high level but the soccer IQ is severely lacking. So much so that the Turk 2 league had smarter play. Now these guys in the US have skills but you need IQ as well.
Well now, you've gone from rec-league to Turk 2 league so I guess I have managed to raise MLS in your esteem! Regardless, I'm never happy with people throwing the baby out with the bath water. MLS is growing in various respects including soccer IQ.
So your favorite teams was Rizespor? Will your favorite team be the Rochester Rhinos when they sign him?
Kinda off-topic but I was just reading some of that Obama Failure Thread. Oh Geezus. No wonder why you come to these boards. I can't imagine anybody listening to you in real life for more than 2 seconds.
Austin Berry took a pic with Falcao, BEAT THAT!!! Edit: Eboue doing his best Mackayla Maroney impression hahahahah
Adu can help them get to their goals. Especially with their style of play and the type of players they have. This isn't the rat lab pack you have in Philadelphia.
He's America's greatest player. It should be obvious that ANY team needs him. Its just these short-sighted managers and talent evaluators who don't see it.
