Looks/feels like a friendly, as far as Italy's play goes. You get the feeling Giovinco is going to be part of a goal sooner rather than later.

BTW, Buffon looks like a famous Italian American icon with that green & blue shirt on lol

Boring first half. Players fear to get injured in the decisive moment of the season.

They just were talking about that in ESPN. Pirlo has gotten a lot of time, USA is lucky it hasn't cost them yet.

Considering his form over the past couple of months, Borini deserves a shot in this match. His work rate alone would generate numerous opportunities for us.

Interesting that Prandelli pushes Ogbonna out to LB, instead of Chiellini, and leaves Motta as the trequartista even with Montolivo on the field.

Soft defending, 1-0 USA. Hopefully it wakes us up.

Wow... USA 1, Italy 0. If we play like this we are going to get killed against Ireland and Croatia.

This game is meaningless, the players aren't really putting the effort in. You can tell.

Italy have dominated possession and chances. Were just lacking the killer instinct and tenacity in the final third (which is usually the case in a friendly)

It's on Prandelli, it's taken him till the 60th minute to get the tactics right here.

The USA are playing like they were New Zealand. Italy cannot find a way through.

I dont know if anyone should really be that worried.

Italy never shows up for friendlies against lower teams.

Look at how we played in that friendly against Spain.. compared to this one. Not even a comparison.

Not really... this is a major embarrassment. Even winning the Euro might not be enough to bounce back from getting punked by a nation where soccer is the 5th(?) most popular sport.

At home. Prandelli didn't pick him because he just recovered from injury.

It's 1-0 USA, but Italy has blown how many chances have Italy had? USA shouldn't get too excited should they hold on for a win.

Too bad because Italy needs a goal scorer badly!
